Su Wan hesitated as she looked at me, conflicted about whether to refuse. But by then, my hands were already pressing on the acupressure points on her legs to relieve fatigue. At first, a tingling sensation spread through her limbs.

Then came a wave of comfort, causing her to close her eyes involuntarily, her face filled with pleasure.

She was still wearing fitness pants and a T-shirt, her figure wrapped in curves that were both shapely and enticing. Honestly, at first, my intention was purely to help her relax with a massage.

However, as I observed her well-defined form up close, and my hands touched her soft skin, my heartbeat quickened and passion surged within me. My hands involuntarily began to wander upward.

Though Su Wan was married, she was still, at heart, a young woman. As I pressed from her calves to the acupoints on her thighs, her body quickly responded. Her cheeks flushed a rosy red, and her expression became subtly alluring.

“Sis-in-law, are you running a fever?”

Feeling her body grow warm, I asked softly, concerned she might be ill. It wasn’t until years later, after becoming more experienced with women, that I realized how naive and foolish that question had been.

“I... I’m fine,” Su Wan stammered, her voice sounding strange.

“Su Wan!”

At that moment, Liu Ting’s voice came from outside the window.

Startled, I glanced anxiously at Su Wan. She, too, was clearly frightened by Liu Ting’s sudden call. She quickly grabbed me, shaking her head to signal silence.

Then, worried that Liu Ting might see a silhouette through the curtain, she urged me to get into bed and hide.

I nodded and quietly climbed onto the bed, lying down beside her again. The scent from her body was intoxicating, and my mind involuntarily recalled the faint fragrance of Liu Ting.

I thought to myself, every woman truly has her own unique scent.

“Su Wan!”

No reply came, but Liu Ting called again.

“I... I’m sleeping. Sister Liu, is something the matter?”

Su Wan took a deep breath, trying to steady her voice, though when my hand rested on her abdomen, her reply faltered.

“What time is it and you’re still sleeping? Get up, we need to go to the factory office,” Liu Ting said.

Though we had embraced and even shared a bed before under special circumstances, this was the first time I lay beside her with a hand on her abdomen like this. Su Wan stiffened immediately.

My heart was pounding wildly, nearly leaping out of my throat.

“Sister Liu, I’m feeling unwell today, so I won’t be going with you,” she answered.

“Su Wan! Is there a man hiding under your covers? Open the door! You can’t keep the fun all to yourself—share some with me...” Liu Ting teased upon hearing Su Wan’s odd voice.

She had no idea there really was a man in that bed—me.

Hearing Liu Ting’s words, my mind raced with wild thoughts. My hand on Su Wan’s soft abdomen began to gently knead.

I had to admit, her stomach was incredibly soft and pleasant to the touch—I loved the feeling.

Su Wan’s body softened under my touch, her face flushing a deep crimson, but she dared not move, fearing Liu Ting would see something from outside.

Embarrassed and slightly flirtatious, she scolded Liu Ting softly, “Sister Liu, what nonsense are you talking? I really am feeling unwell...”

“All right, I won’t tease you anymore. Rest well if you’re unwell. I’m heading to the factory office—do you need me to bring anything?”

Su Wan breathed a sigh of relief and quickly replied, “No, Sister Liu, I don’t need anything.”

“Okay, I’m off then,” Liu Ting said before leaving.

Once the window fell silent, Su Wan exhaled and shot me a glare. Whispering, she scolded, “Yan Feng! If Sister Liu had found out just now, how could I ever face her again?”

“It’s fine,” I chuckled.

Feeling my hand still wandering on her abdomen, Su Wan grabbed my wrist sharply. “Lie still! Don’t move around or you won’t be allowed to lie here anymore.”

Seeing she hadn’t pushed me away, I was delighted. I nestled closer to her and lay still.

“Sis-in-law, lying next to you feels so comforting, just like when I used to lie in my mother’s arms as a child,” I whispered.

Breathing in her gentle fragrance, my hand resting on her flat stomach, Su Wan glanced at me with a complicated look but said nothing. She lay quietly, letting me hold her as I drifted off.

Perhaps, in her heart, there was a place for me—though constrained by convention, she lacked the courage to face it.

“Yan Feng, it’s time for you to go to work,” Su Wan reminded me, glancing at the clock by the bedside.

Time usually seemed to drag, but today it flew by swiftly. I had only just lain beside her, and soon it was nearly six o’clock. Reluctantly, I rose.

Seeing her cheeks still flushed with embarrassment, I hesitated before saying, “Sis-in-law, if I’m tired in the future, I want to keep falling asleep like this, holding you close...”

“No! Just this once, don’t make it a habit,” she refused immediately as she got up.

I laughed lightly, not taking it seriously, then got off the bed. As I opened the door to leave, I said, “I like holding you as I fall asleep.”

She stood there, flushed and speechless, staring after me.

Back at home, I changed and headed off to work.

Today, Wang Feng had taken the day off, so only Hu Yong and I were on duty.

“Yan Feng! Take these with you on patrol tonight,” Hu Yong said sternly, placing two one-meter-long stun batons on the table.

“What’s this?” I asked curiously, having never seen such a thing before.

Hu Yong sat opposite me, explaining and demonstrating how to use them.

I was delighted, holding the stun batons thoughtfully. I thought, if only I’d had these the last time Li Da and the others tried to stop me, I wouldn’t have had to flee so awkwardly.

“Yan Feng, these are powerful. Be careful not to shock yourself,” Hu Yong warned anxiously after teaching me.

Although stun batons won’t kill, getting hit is no joke—you’ll at least be knocked out and in pain for days.

I nodded and examined the batons carefully, reluctant to put them down.

“I’m going to lie down for a bit. Wake me when it’s time,” Hu Yong said, yawning as he headed toward the rest area.

I nodded, continuing to fiddle with the stun batons. Wang Feng’s absence tonight didn’t concern me in the slightest, and I didn’t think much about it.
