After what had happened, neither my cousin’s wife nor I had any appetite for dinner; we barely ate a few bites.

I escorted her back to the bedroom to rest, then returned alone to my own home.

Heavy with worry, I sat on the wooden bed and lit a cigarette.

Having just confronted a few members of the Tiger Gang, I wasn’t concerned about them retaliating against me.

What troubled me was the possibility they might seek revenge against my cousin’s wife. Since I couldn’t always stay by her side, if anything happened to her, it would cause a great deal of trouble.

"Yanfeng!"

Just as I was lost in anxious thoughts, Liu Ting’s voice came through the window, breaking my reverie.

"Aunt Liu!"

Seeing Liu Ting at the window, I stood and walked over to open the door.

"Aunt Liu! You’re not resting yet?"

She wore light clothes that accentuated her curves. It was already past ten at night, and I was curious about why she came to see me so late.

Liu Ting stepped inside. The room was dimly lit by a five-watt bulb. She smiled and said, “Yanfeng, your place is really simple. Aside from a bed, there’s nothing here. It seems a man needs a woman to make a home.”

Embarrassed, I scratched my head and smiled. “Aunt Liu, I just arrived a couple of days ago and haven’t had time to furnish the place…”

Liu Ting came over to the wooden bed, glanced around, then sat down. Her almond-shaped eyes looked at me as she said, “Today at the factory office, I saw Li Da drinking with those troublemakers from earlier, so I suspect those people were deliberately brought in by Li Da to target you…”

Hearing this, my expression darkened. I had already suspected Li Da was behind the Tiger Gang’s hostility when I saw him among the crowd before. Now it seemed my suspicions were confirmed.

“Yanfeng, Li Da is not a good man. He’s done everything from cheating to swindling. You must be careful around him. Also, Li Zhiming is his uncle and part of the Tenth Team. He behaves arrogantly, and most people, out of respect for Li Zhiming, choose to tolerate him…”

Liu Ting continued.

My face grew serious. I hadn’t realized Li Zhiming was Li Da’s uncle.

“Yanfeng, although Zhao Fei is dead, his debts remain. Those creditors will surely come looking for trouble with Su Wan. You need to prepare yourself mentally,” Liu Ting said gravely, looking at me.

I said nothing, standing motionless.

I had been pondering this very problem but had yet to find a solution.

“Aunt Liu, do you know how much debt my cousin Zhao Fei left behind?” I asked in a low voice.

“No,” Liu Ting shook her head, pausing thoughtfully before continuing, “That deadbeat Zhao Fei was a heavy gambler. He probably owed a lot. But I know that Li Da led him astray.”

She hesitated, then added, “Before Zhao Fei married your cousin’s wife, he was already running around with Li Da. They were partners in crime, often stealing latex together, and doing all sorts of bad things. After he married your cousin’s wife, he settled down somewhat but still frequently went out partying with Li Da and the others…”

Listening to her, I finally understood my cousin Zhao Fei’s life in the Tenth Team.

I never imagined that while he appeared honest and simple whenever he returned to the village, he was a rogue here.

My cousin’s wife must have been blind to marry him and waste her life.

Thinking of this, a deep resentment for Zhao Fei welled up inside me. He never gave her a day of happiness while alive.

And even in death, he left her drowning in debt—a true curse.

“Yanfeng, don’t hang out with Li Da and those people, or you’ll end up like your cousin Zhao Fei—with a miserable end,” Liu Ting said harshly as she stood. She clearly held a very poor opinion of Zhao Fei and spoke without restraint.

“Take care, Aunt Liu,” I nodded.

“Oh! Sitting too long has cramped my leg,” she suddenly exclaimed as she stood.

Instinctively, I stepped forward to steady her.

As I held her hand, my palms brushed against her ample breasts. She wore nothing beneath her nightgown, and I could feel the softness clearly. Instantly, my mind began to wander.

“Aunt Liu, are you alright?” I asked, concern evident as I helped her back down onto the wooden bed.

Frowning, she rubbed her foot. “Cramped and numb. Yanfeng, can you massage my foot?”

Perhaps she saw me only as a young boy, a little brother, so she didn’t think twice about asking.

Since the cramps and numbness were truly painful, I squatted down and began pressing the acupressure points on her foot.

Her pajama pants were thin. My hands pressed on the foot’s points, then followed the meridians up her calf to her thigh.

As I massaged back and forth on her thigh, a flush suddenly appeared on Liu Ting’s face.

It was clear her husband’s long absences and her youthful, passionate age made her body very sensitive.

Though she considered me a boy, after all, I was still a man.

So her body grew warm under my touch, and her gaze gradually became dreamy.

Her foot was no longer cramped or numb. She wanted to stop me from continuing on her thigh but hesitated, reluctant to lose the pleasant sensation.

I was unaware of her inner turmoil and continued massaging the points between her calf and thigh with a clear mind.

After several minutes, I suddenly felt her body tremble slightly. I stopped and looked at her curiously.

At that moment, Liu Ting wished she could disappear into the ground. She never imagined that someone over ten years her junior—someone she saw as a mere boy—would stir such feelings within her, causing her body to betray her.

“I… I’m fine!” she stammered nervously, then stood up. “Yanfeng, I should be going. I have work tomorrow.”

She was an accountant for the unit, unlike the latex workers who had to rise late at night to tap rubber.

Using work as an excuse, she hurriedly left.

The dim light concealed her flushed face.

Hearing her words, I didn’t think much of it and saw her to the door before closing it and returning to bed.

The next morning, I woke early, exercised, then ate a largeI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
