At night, at Nightscape Disco in Pingcheng.

According to Wu Lihong, Zhou Hao had recently taken an interest in a new girl at Nightscape Disco. Every night, he spent lavishly there in an attempt to win her over.

So, if Chen Xuewen wanted to find Zhou Hao, the best method was to wait outside Nightscape Disco.

After disguising himself, Chen Xuewen pulled a brimmed hat low over his face and carried a flower basket, selling flowers outside the club.

It was common to see flower vendors stationed at the entrance. After dancing, wealthy young men pursuing girls would often buy them flowers to show their romantic side, making it easier to win them over.

With his flower basket in hand, Chen Xuewen wandered around the entrance, attracting little attention.

The security guards, however, stopped the vendors from getting too close to the club.

Chen Xuewen waited there for nearly two hours, until his hands and feet had gone numb from the cold.

Finally, just before midnight, a group of people emerged from the club.

Chen Xuewen recognized the young man at the front at once. Dressed from head to toe in designer brands, with arrogance written all over his face, he was none other than Zhou Hao, his classmate for two years.

Zhou Hao had one arm around a girl. Reeking of alcohol, he staggered out of the club, one hand still roaming over her body.

The girl did not resist. She let Zhou Hao hold her, a smug expression spread across her face.

Beside Zhou Hao were several large, burly men who appeared to be his bodyguards.

The moment Zhou Hao stepped outside, the flower vendors rushed toward him, calling out over one another.

“Sir, buy a flower.”

“Sir, buy this young lady a flower.”

“Sir…”

Chen Xuewen seized the opportunity to join them, pretending to offer his basket to Zhou Hao.

While Zhou Hao was completely off guard, Chen Xuewen suddenly drew the boning knife hidden among the flowers and thrust it straight at Zhou Hao’s throat.

The strike was swift and precise, intended to sever Zhou Hao’s carotid artery in a single blow.

But at that very moment, Zhou Hao suddenly bent over and vomited.

His neck shifted slightly. Chen Xuewen’s boning knife merely sliced open the skin of his throat instead of severing the fatal artery, and blood splashed across Chen Xuewen’s hand.

Chen Xuewen had never expected Zhou Hao to be so lucky.

Gritting his teeth, he lunged forward and thrust the knife at Zhou Hao’s throat again.

The injury snapped Zhou Hao fully awake.

When he saw Chen Xuewen rushing at him, he had no time to think. He hurriedly seized Chen Xuewen’s arms with both hands.

The boning knife only grazed Zhou Hao’s cheek, leaving a long cut.

Chen Xuewen pressed down with all his strength, but Zhou Hao was fighting with everything he had as well, gripping Chen Xuewen’s hand and refusing to let go.

The blood from Zhou Hao’s throat had splattered onto Chen Xuewen’s hands, leaving them slick. Under Zhou Hao’s desperate struggle, the knife finally slipped from Chen Xuewen’s grasp.

Without his weapon, Chen Xuewen froze for a moment.

Just then, one of the men behind them charged forward and kicked Chen Xuewen squarely in the body.

The tremendous force sent Chen Xuewen flying.

He crashed to the ground and rolled several times.

The other men had already rushed over, forming a shield around Zhou Hao.
