Chapter 35: The Stock Market God—Dinner at the Peninsula Hotel Is on Me
"If they refuse to come over, I will go and see them myself!"
Xiang Zhiqiu was determined to meet the person behind the Lizhi account today. Since the other party would not come to him, he would go to them.
"Mr. Xiang, wouldn't that be inappropriate?"
Luo Zhiqiang, the manager of the business department, was quite surprised to hear that Xiang Zhiqiu intended to personally meet the operator of the Lizhi account.
"What is inappropriate about it?"
"The person is a genius at stock trading!"
"Geniuses often have eccentric personalities!"
"It is understandable that he is unwilling to come over!"
"He is so proficient in stock trading; if we can recruit him, it would be a great gain for us!"
"If someone else manages to recruit him first, that would be a loss for us!"
"Therefore, we absolutely cannot let this trading genius slip through our fingers!"
Xiang Zhiqiu said with a stern expression. As he spoke, he walked out of his office. Luo Zhiqiang had no choice but to follow closely behind, using his phone to instruct He Songping and Zhang Guoliang to keep a close watch on Chen Hao and Lizhi, as he and the boss were on their way.
After hanging up, He Songping was completely stunned.
"What did Manager Luo say?" Zhang Guoliang asked hurriedly.
"Manager Luo said the boss is coming to meet them in person! They are on their way here right now," He Songping replied.
"What? The boss is coming to see them personally?" Zhang Guoliang’s eyes widened, staring at Chen Hao and Lizhi in disbelief. He never imagined that the legendary Stock God of Hong Kong would personally come to meet these two.
"So, Manager Luo wants us to keep a close eye on them," He Songping said, looking at the pair in the distance.
"I really don't understand why the boss would come here himself," Zhang Guoliang muttered, curling his lip.
At that moment, Chen Hao was still focused on trading stocks, unaware that Xiang Zhiqiu, the Stock God of Hong Kong, was on his way to see him.
A short while later, Xiang Zhiqiu and Luo Zhiqiang arrived at the main hall of the Stock Exchange.
"The boss and Manager Luo are here!" He Songping spotted them and waved, quickly walking over to meet them. Xiang Zhiqiu and Luo Zhiqiang approached them immediately.
"Mr. Xiang, Manager Luo!" He Songping and Zhang Guoliang greeted them respectfully.
"Where are the two people you mentioned?" Xiang Zhiqiu asked directly.
"Right there!" He Songping pointed to Chen Hao and Lizhi. "It's them."
"He is so young!" Xiang Zhiqiu’s gaze fell on Chen Hao. On the way, Luo Zhiqiang had informed him that the actual operator of the Lizhi account was Lizhi's boyfriend. He had not expected the boyfriend to be so young. That someone so young could possess such formidable trading skills was truly hard to believe.
He walked toward them. Upon reaching them, he said, "Hello, sir. Could we find a place to talk?" He did not want to cause a scene in the crowded hall.
Chen Hao, who was focused on his trading, looked up at the sound of the voice. He saw an elderly man with thick eyebrows and large eyes, dressed in a black suit, who appeared to be around sixty years old. He frowned slightly and asked, "Who are you?"
"The Stock God?"
"Is that the Stock God?"
"Why is he here?"
"Stock God, could I have your autograph?"
"Stock God, which stock is going to soar lately?"
Investors nearby had recognized Xiang Zhiqiu and began to crowd around them, clamoring for autographs or tips on rising stocks. Xiang Zhiqiu’s bodyguards, along with Luo Zhiqiang, He Songping, and Zhang Guoliang, quickly formed a protective circle around him to prevent any mishaps.
"He is the Stock God?" Chen Hao and Lizhi exchanged a look of surprise. Neither had expected the renowned Stock God of Hong Kong to come looking for them personally.
Under the protection of his entourage, Xiang Zhiqiu left the trading hall and returned to his car. A moment later, He Songping returned to Chen Hao and Lizhi. "The two of you, our boss is waiting outside."
"Chen Hao, should we...?" Lizhi looked at Chen Hao with an inquiring gaze.
"Since the Stock God has come to see us personally, let’s go meet him. Besides, the market will be closing soon anyway," Chen Hao said, checking the time.
"Alright, I'll follow your lead," Lizhi nodded.
Led by He Songping, they left the hall and approached a car where Luo Zhiqiang and Zhang Guoliang were waiting. Luo Zhiqiang opened the front passenger door for Lizhi. "Miss Lizhi, please sit in the front."
Lizhi glanced at Chen Hao; seeing him nod, she got into the front seat. Luo Zhiqiang then opened the rear door. Xiang Zhiqiu was sitting inside. He smiled slightly at Chen Hao and said, "Get in."
Chen Hao nodded and took the seat beside him. Luo Zhiqiang closed the door.
"Mr. Xiang, where to?" the bodyguard-turned-driver asked.
"To The Peninsula Hotel," Xiang Zhiqiu replied.
"Yes, sir." The driver started the car and headed toward the hotel.
"You already know who I am," Xiang Zhiqiu said, looking at Chen Hao. "May I ask your name?"
"My name is Chen Hao," he introduced himself.
"Ah, Mr. Chen. A pleasure to meet you," Xiang Zhiqiu said, extending his right hand.
"The pleasure is mine," Chen Hao replied, shaking his hand.
"It’s nearly noon," Xiang Zhiqiu continued. "I’ll be your host; let’s have lunch at The Peninsula."
"I accept your kind offer," Chen Hao replied without hesitation. He knew that since Xiang Zhiqiu had sought him out, there must be something important he wished to discuss.
