Chapter 38: Chen Hao Is the True God of Stocks!
"Mr. Xiang, do you practice Baduanjin as well?" Chen Hao asked while performing the movements of the Baduanjin exercise.
"I don't, but I've seen others do it," Xiang Zhiqiu replied with a faint smile.
"Baduanjin is a discipline for nourishing life. Practicing it regularly is very beneficial for the body. I could teach you," Chen Hao offered.
"Haha, I'm too busy. I'm afraid I don't have the time for that," Xiang Zhiqiu chuckled.
Chen Hao didn't press the matter. Soon, he finished a set of Baduanjin. Having completed it, he felt refreshed, invigorated, and filled with strength—much like a nearly dead mobile phone that had just been fully recharged. He felt that ever since his rebirth, the effects of the exercises were remarkably potent, far superior to how he felt doing them in his previous life. It was truly miraculous.
"Alright, we can go now," Chen Hao said, settling his posture.
"After finishing those exercises, your entire demeanor looks different. You seem instantly revitalized. That's amazing!" Xiang Zhiqiu remarked with surprise.
"That's exactly why the effects are so good. I practice it at least three times a day—morning, noon, and night. One's health is the foundation of all success. Only with a strong body can you have enough energy to get things done," Chen Hao explained.
"Hmm, you're right. It seems I should also consider exercising more often," Xiang Zhiqiu agreed with a nod.
Shortly after, they left Chater Garden and took a car to the headquarters of Xiang Sheng Securities.
"Mr. Xiang, my trading style is quite fast. I wonder if your company’s computers and network are up to the task?" Chen Hao asked jokingly.
"Mr. Chen, you can rest assured. Our company is equipped with the best-performing computers and the fastest servers available. We can absolutely meet your requirements," Xiang Zhiqiu replied.
As Xiang Zhiqiu and his group passed the front desk, several receptionists stood up and greeted him respectfully. Xiang Zhiqiu gave a slight nod, continuing his conversation with Chen Hao.
"Wait, isn't that the guy who lives off women?" one of the receptionists whispered. "Why is he so familiar with our boss?"
She recognized Chen Hao because she had been the one to open the account when he had brought Nina Li in previously. Back then, she had assumed Chen Hao was a penniless freeloader. She was shocked to see him now, laughing and talking with their boss. What was going on? Who exactly was this man?
On the other side, Xiang Zhiqiu led Chen Hao and Nina Li into a large office lined with rows of desks, each equipped with a computer and staffed by a trader in a uniform vest. As they entered, the traders stood to greet their boss. Xiang Zhiqiu nodded and gestured for them to remain seated.
"Mr. Chen, this is the trading office I’ve prepared specifically for you," Xiang Zhiqiu said, gesturing to the room. "All these computers are the best on the market, connected to the fastest network servers. This screen here will display the latest stock prices. These traders are all at your command; give them your instructions, and they will execute them with the utmost speed. What do you think?"
"Very good," Chen Hao said, nodding with satisfaction. He then looked at Xiang Zhiqiu and asked, "How much capital are you planning to allocate for me to trade?"
"I intend to start with a hundred million to test the waters," Xiang Zhiqiu replied after a moment's thought.
"That works," Chen Hao said. "By the way, could you assign a trader to manage our personal account?" Currently, the account he shared with Nina Li had grown to 9.98 million Hong Kong dollars; he certainly wouldn't stop managing that just because he was partnering with Xiang.
"No problem," Xiang Zhiqiu agreed.
He then had an amplifier brought over for Chen Hao to wear. Chen Hao sat down in front of the terminal displaying the market data. A moment later, the market opened, and the screen flashed with the latest price movements. Chen Hao focused his entire attention on the fluctuations. After a brief period of observation, his mind raced, predicting the optimal stocks to enter. He immediately issued his first set of instructions to the traders via the amplifier.
Because of the high-performance hardware and the direct communication, the pace of his trading was significantly faster than before. At first, Chen Hao struggled to adapt to the new tempo, leading to some errors, and his success rate dipped to 90%. However, possessing strong adaptability and an incredibly fast-reacting mind, he quickly found his rhythm. His errors decreased as his success rate climbed back up to 99%.
Xiang Zhiqiu stood to the side, watching intently as Chen Hao executed his rapid-fire, ultra-short-term trades. With every passing moment, the shock on his face grew more profound. He had seen the records from Nina Li’s account, but witnessing the speed of Chen Hao’s operations in person was truly staggering.
"He is simply incredible," Xiang Zhiqiu thought, watching in disbelief. "To maintain a 99% success rate at such a blistering speed—how does he do it?" He felt that Chen Hao was the true god of the stock market.
