All afternoon long, Liu Jing never had a chance to upgrade his system.

He had no idea what his aunt’s friend was saying, but his aunt kept him firmly within her sight.

Wherever he went, she followed closely behind, even to the restroom.

Liu Jing had no choice but to obediently stay with the film crew, attentively watching Zhou Xingxing act.

He hadn’t expected Zhou Xingxing to be a martial artist of sorts, striking poses with a flair that seemed genuine.

From the fragmented memories of the spoiled second-generation heir, his knowledge mostly covered wooing women, followed by martial arts.

Martial arts from the pre-Qin era differed greatly from those of later times. When the Qin king burned books, aside from occult texts, many combat techniques were lost as well.

Among those martial arts, swordsmanship was the most common.

Due to his age, Liu Jing couldn’t practice many of these martial arts.

The second-generation heir’s memories also included ample acting experience, having performed since childhood, though it was unstructured.

Now, combining Zhou Xingxing’s performance with his aunt’s explanations, he felt he had grasped the basics of acting.

"Wen Qiong, are you free tonight? Let’s hang out." As the crew dispersed, Wang Fatty came over.

"Sorry, she’s busy tutoring me with homework tonight," Liu Jing replied directly.

"Homework can be done anytime," Wang Fatty said with a smile.

"I don’t like procrastinating; I do today’s work today," Liu Jing said, hiding his hands behind his back. His aunt frowned, thinking he was even more pretentious than Zhou Xingxing.

"Director Wang, another day maybe. Last night, Wood wet the bed; I have to go wash his diapers," his aunt said apologetically, pulling her sulking nephew away.

Watching the beauty walk away, Wang Fatty looked somewhat lost. "A Xing, come drink with me tonight. I feel like I’m heartbroken again."

"No time, I have to study the script," Zhou Xingxing refused outright, thinking Wang Fatty had lost count of his heartbreaks and he didn’t have time to drink.

"Is filming really more important than drinking with me?" Wang Fatty asked.

"Yes," Zhou Xingxing nodded.

"Whew!" Wang Fatty groaned, clutching his chest. "What about Uncle Da? Let him drink with me."

"Uncle Da finished filming. He’ll come over in a few days," Zhou Xingxing replied.

"He’s done filming? Why come back then? To pick you up to Hong Kong?" Wang Fatty was curious.

"The first scene where I’m writing wasn’t very good; he’s coming back for reshoots."

"Damn, no wonder Chen Jiashang looked so sour and ignored me. So you gave him more work," Wang Fatty realized.

Zhou Xingxing glanced at him—Chen Jiashang’s bad mood was because of Wang Fatty’s presence.

Wang Fatty didn’t realize this and grumbled, "You’re the same—just one scene. It won’t affect much. Why be so serious? Even if you reshoot, the audience won’t notice much, won’t boost the box office."

"I’m willing," Zhou Xingxing said.

"No wonder you like that kid so much. You two are something else."

"He’s harsher than me."

"Kids say the darndest things."

The aunt booked a nearby hotel with a large bed room.

Zhuozhou was quite a distance from Yan, so Aunt Liu stayed at the filming location.

Listening to the bathroom’s flowing water, Liu Jing muttered, "That woman dared to spread rumors that I wet the bed. She deserves a beating. But she really trusts me—not even closing the door properly. Doesn’t treat me like a man."

The door wasn’t fully closed, but the bathroom window was tightly sealed. There was some consideration after all.

His aunt hummed happily while showering, clearly in a good mood.

Liu Jing knew from experience this shower would be long, so he had enough time to upgrade the system.

With a thought, ten thousand points of entertainment aura dissipated immediately.

[System meets upgrade conditions, initiating upgrade. Time required: twenty-four hours. During upgrade, host’s body will be enhanced.]

“Uh…” A warm current flowed through him. Liu Jing let out a comfortable shout and drifted into a sleepy haze.

After months of adjustment, Liu Jing’s biological clock was strong.

At dawn, he opened his eyes feeling completely comfortable, though somewhat stifled.

He struggled out of his aunt’s embrace. "Trying to smother me to death, huh?"

"Wood, sleep a bit more. You’re so warm, holding you is really nice," his aunt murmured, eyes half-open, attempting to pull him back.

"You go sleep yourself," Liu Jing hurried off the bed, suddenly feeling embarrassed.

He was always independent—even after settling down, he washed and dressed himself.

Looking at his clothes, someone had bathed him and changed them. That someone was none other than his aunt.

"Forget it, I won’t hold your hitting me against you," Liu Jing glanced at the beauty sleeping next to him, whose pose was even worse than an ugly girl’s.

Some spring scenery inside, but the view outside the window was better.

His mind was calm, untouched by any ripple.

That day, he had no interest in asking questions; even Zhou Xingxing’s acting seemed less fascinating.

He spent the day distracted, only waiting for the system upgrade to finish.

During the upgrade, nothing unusual happened except his body sometimes felt surges of warmth and pleasant tingling.

Thus, he spent most of the day sleeping.

After filming wrapped in the afternoon, he declined several friends’ invitations to go shopping on behalf of his aunt and went straight back to the hotel.

His aunt didn’t mind—staying with the little one was far more fun than shopping.

After dinner back at the hotel, Liu Jing still felt absent-minded. The TV was playing “Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.”

His aunt wore a bathrobe, crossing her long, fair legs enticingly.

She cracked melon seeds, bursting into frequent laughter.

"So childish. Over twenty years old and still loves cartoons," Liu Jing glanced sideways. If he weren’t waiting for the system upgrade, he’d have changed the channel.

[System upgrade successful. Reward: one lottery draw.]

“What’s this? A lottery draw? Like a raffle?” Liu Jing muttered, immediately checking the changes after upgrading.

[Host: Liu Jing]

[Level: 2 (Upgrade cost: one million points)]

[Bond: 0/6]

[Entertainment Aura: 49]

[Ability One: Daily Insight—usable once per day. More uses require payment.]

[Ability Two: Photographic Memory—everything seen is stored in mind. Costs 10 entertainment aura points per hour, minimum one hour activation.]

“Sigh!” Liu Jing sighed deeply. Using abilities still consumed entertainment aura. He didn’t have enough.

But luckily, ten points per hour was enough for daily use.

Looking again at upgrade conditions, the cost jumped directly from ten thousand to one million points.

Bond slots increased by three, but he had none. How to form bonds? He was still clueless.

Slots were limited, and he didn’t want to rush.

"What’s wrong? Don’t like ‘Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck’?" His aunt asked without even looking at him.

"It’s great. Enjoy it," Liu Jing stood up.

"Going to the bathroom?" she asked.

"Training," Liu Jing replied with some disdain. Outside he was polished; at home, he was careless. "Throw your melon seeds in the trash, can’t you?"

"Too far," she said without looking away from the TV.

Liu Jing snorted, moved the trash bin right in front of her, then grabbed a broom and started cleaning.

While tidying, he complained, "Never met someone so messy."

"You just haven’t met enough people," she replied casually.

After cleaning, everything looked much better, and he felt more at ease.

He washed his hands again, sensing luck was on his side, and used the lottery draw.
