"Dabao, why are you here? Hurry up and leave!"

Seeing Chen Dabao suddenly appear, Chen Ya felt a sudden wave of panic, her pretty face tightening with tension.

To an ordinary person, Zhang Biao's sand quarry was no different from a den of tigers and wolves. She wasn't afraid of being captured here herself; at worst, she would smash her head against the wall and perish together with them.

However, it would be unforgivable if Chen Dabao got dragged into this because of her.

"Kid, where did you crawl out from?"

Zhang Biao's face turned cold. Noticing the worry on Chen Ya's pretty face made him even more irritated.

For two years he had pursued this cheap woman without success, yet now she was showing such deep concern for some pretty boy.

"Brother Biao, this punk is Chen Ya's lover! Last time, the three of us were beaten up by him!" Second Zhang cried out with an excited expression.

This country bumpkin had truly lost his mind, daring to chase after them all the way to the sand quarry. He was simply tired of living.

"So it was you!" Zhang Biao's face chilled, and he said with a ferocious expression, "You blind piece of trash! How dare you cross me, Zhang Biao, in Qingshan Town? I'd say you've grown tired of living!"

This was a sand quarry, Zhang Biao's home turf. With a single word from him, no matter how many heads and arms Chen Dabao had, he would still be beaten into complete submission.

Hearing the commotion, people from the office and the neighboring rooms swarmed over with hostile expressions.

Although there weren't many people on the third floor, there were still seven or eight burly men.

These stout fellows completely blocked the doorway of the office.

Chen Ya's pretty face was pale and filled with dread. It had been easy for Chen Dabao to get in today, but getting out alive would likely prove far more difficult.

"Zhang Biao, whatever is between us has nothing to do with anyone else! Let him go!"

Chen Ya asked anxiously, trying to step in front of Chen Dabao.

Chen Dabao reached out a hand, stopped her, and shielded her behind him.

"Brother Biao, is it? This is a society ruled by law; stop playing the tyrant trying to force a marriage. I've already called the police, so you'd better behave and let us leave peacefully!"

Chen Dabao stared piercingly at Zhang Biao, not taking the situation seriously at all.

In his previous life, a small-time hoodlum like Zhang Biao wouldn't even have been worthy of having a name—he would have been mere fodder, too insignificant to mention, let alone remember.

"Brother Biao, this punk is pretty arrogant!"

"Daring to stir up trouble at the sand quarry? This kid must have no idea who he's messing with!"

"Chen Ya, just how many times did you sleep with this pretty boy to make him risk his life like this?"

"Hahahahaha!"

Zhang Biao's lackeys didn't take Chen Dabao seriously in the slightest, bursting into wild laughter.

"Call the police? Kid, do you even know which way the yamen's doors open? You actually have the nerve to mention the police in front of me!" Zhang Biao sneered contemptuously, completely dismissing Chen Dabao's warning.

In Qingshan Town, if anyone dared to call the police, the local police station would have a phone call forwarded straight to him before the person even hung up.

This country bumpkin simply had no idea how much influence he, Zhang Biao, wielded in Qingshan Town.

"So that means there's nothing to discuss?"

Chen Dabao's gaze suddenly turned razor-sharp.

Initially, Zhang Biao hadn't paid Chen Dabao any mind, but at that exact moment, Zhang Biao felt the hairs on his body stand on end, as if a ferocious tiger had suddenly opened its eyes right in front of him.

A piercing chill caused Zhang Biao's expression to shift drastically.

"You fucking punk..." Shocked and enraged, Zhang Biao suddenly realized that Chen Dabao might not be just some ordinary, simple-minded farmer after all.

"Zhang Biao, you ungrateful piece of shit!"

Chen Dabao suddenly let out a roar, lunging forward with blinding speed. Before Zhang Biao could even react, Chen Dabao delivered a fierce slap across his face.

"Crack!"

"Agh!"

Crying out in agony, Zhang Biao was sent flying by the blow. He crashed heavily into his own mahogany desk, flipping the heavy furniture over and hurting his lower back so badly he felt like it had snapped in half.

"Brother Biao!"

Zhang Biao's henchmen were dumbfounded. None of them expected that Chen Dabao would have the sheer audacity to throw the first punch.

Two of the burly men hurriedly rushed over to check on Zhang Biao.

"Sister Ya, let's go!"

Seizing the opportunity, Chen Dabao grabbed Chen Ya by the hand and turned to bolt through the doorway.

"You little bastard, you think you can run?"

A burly man blocking the exit roared angrily, throwing a ferocious punch straight at Chen Dabao's head. Having rushed over in a hurry and never expecting anyone to dare start a fight right inside the quarry, he hadn't brought any weapons.

His fist, the size of a sandbag, hurtled toward Chen Dabao's skull.

Chen Ya was completely stunned. She hadn't anticipated that Chen Dabao would be so fierce—Zhang Biao hadn't even made a move yet, but Chen Dabao had struck first.

Being pulled along by Chen Dabao, she stared at his broad back, a strange flash of emotion crossing her eyes as her heart suddenly skipped a beat.

"Get lost!"

Chen Dabao bellowed like a thunderclap, lashing out with a lightning-fast kick that slammed heavily into the chest of the blocking thug. The man felt as if he had been hit head-on by a heavy-duty truck, letting out a miserable screech as he flew backward.

In the process, he crashed into another henchman standing behind him, sending both of them tumbling to the floor in a tangled heap.

"Damn it, stop him!"

"Don't let him get away!"

Two other burly men nearby were shocked to find that this punk actually knew how to fight. One of them snatched up a chair from beside the doorway and swung it viciously down toward Chen Dabao's head.

The other whipped around, preparing to call for reinforcements.

"Whoosh!"

Chen Dabao hurled the food box in his hand with immense force. The box smashed squarely into the head of the thug who was trying to yell for help, dropping him to the ground with a shriek of pain.

"Dabao, watch out!"

At the same time, the chair came crashing down toward them. Terrified, Chen Ya cried out and instinctively sped up her pace, trying to shield Chen Dabao from the blow with her own body.

The thug wielding the chair hardened his gaze. Brother Biao had been beaten; regardless of whether it was Chen Dabao or Chen Ya, he would take one of them down first.

"You're courting death!"

"Swish!"

Chen Dabao roared, abruptly twisting his body sideways and delivering a vicious whip kick that connected squarely with the chair. With a sharp crack, the wooden chair shattered into splinters.

The thug was terrified and immediately turned to flee.

Seizing the moment, Chen Dabao retrieved the telescopic baton hidden inside the food box, darted forward in pursuit, and lashed out, striking the thug heavily across the back. The man let out a wretched yell and collapsed onto the floor.

"Sister Ya, let's go!"

Dragging Chen Ya along with him, Chen Dabao sprinted down the stairs.

Downstairs, the thugs gathered in front of the office building heard the commotion and looked up. Some were just about to head upstairs when they saw Chen Dabao dragging Chen Ya down in a mad dash.

"Zhang Biao's been killed! All of you, get out of the way!"

Chen Dabao's roar shocked the thugs in the yard, throwing them into complete chaos.

"Brother Biao is dead?"

"How could Brother Biao be dead?"

"Quick, go up and check!"

"Don't let them escape! You few, stop them!"

The vast majority of the thugs' expressions changed dramatically as they scrambled up the stairs, leaving behind only five or six men to intercept Chen Dabao and Chen Ya.

"Punk, you actually dared to touch Brother Biao, I'll—ah!"

As the guards moved to block their path, one of them tried to spew a final threat, but the next second, Chen Dabao's baton smashed directly into his mouth.

The man let out a blood-curdling scream as blood, mixed with shattered teeth, flew through the air.

Operating at peak efficiency, Chen Dabao incapacitated the remaining thugs within seconds.

Without pausing, he pulled Chen Ya toward a parked van.

"Zhuangzi, let's move!"
