The battle ended in the blink of an eye. Before anyone could react, Jiang Chen had struck Pan Jinsheng dead with a single slap.

Seeing Pan Jinsheng lying on the ground in a gruesome death, everyone felt a chill run through their bodies. It was terrifying!

Many of them had thought Jiang Chen was doomed, yet the one who had died was Pan Jinsheng instead!

The humiliation was so brutal that it frightened them. No one wanted to end up beaten to death by Jiang Chen like Pan Jinsheng.

“Father…”

Pan Yonghui completely broke down, filled with regret. If he had not provoked Jiang Chen, he would never have caused his father’s death.

“Here!”

Jiang Chen kicked Pan Jinsheng’s corpse over. It slammed into Pan Yonghui, who trembled violently, rolled his eyes back, and fainted on the spot.

Feng Yuwei, who had been waiting eagerly to see Jiang Chen die, lost control of her bladder when she witnessed him kill Pan Jinsheng. Her entire body stiffened, and she could no longer move. She had been frightened into madness.

“Take him alive! Don’t let him get away!”

A woman’s urgent voice suddenly rang out from inside the hospital. It carried with such force that everyone at the entrance heard it clearly.

“That voice… It’s Ye Qingchan!”

Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow and murmured to himself.

He was very familiar with Ye Qingchan’s voice. Besides, she had rushed into the hospital moments earlier, so there was no way he could have mistaken it.

A male doctor in a mask and white coat ran out of the hospital. When he saw Qin Pojun in military uniform with a gun in hand, he seemed startled and ran even faster toward the left side of the entrance.

Ye Qingchan emerged in pursuit with several members of the Hidden Dragon Envoy squad. The moment she spotted Qin Pojun, she asked, “General Qin, did you see which way a masked doctor ran?”

“To the left! Miss Ye, do you need help?”

Qin Pojun pointed in that direction, willing to lend a hand. He knew that Ye Qingchan was not only the daughter of the prominent Ye family of Dragon Capital, but also the captain of the Hidden Dragon Envoy squad of Dragon Soul.

“Thank you, General Qin, but there’s no need!”

Ye Qingchan replied without turning her head and sped off to the left with several members of her squad.

Hearing the exchange between Ye Qingchan and Qin Pojun, Jiang Chen remembered that she had been hunting ninjas from the Xiaokun Kingdom. Could that fleeing doctor actually be a ninja from the Xiaokun Kingdom in disguise?

Wait!

That doctor’s figure looked strangely familiar!

Jiang Chen quickly took out his phone and found the photograph Su Jinxi had sent him. Sure enough, the doctor looked very much like the middle-aged man from the Xiaokun Kingdom in the photograph. The mask merely concealed his face.

Could they be the same person?

“General Qin, please take my sister back to the Heavenly Pavilion Purple Residence. I have something to deal with!”

After saying this to Qin Pojun, Jiang Chen sprinted in the direction the doctor and Ye Qingchan had taken.

“All right…”

Qin Pojun had only just begun to speak when Jiang Chen’s figure vanished.

The doctor was no ordinary man. He seemed to have mastered some strange movement technique, and his escape speed was astonishingly fast. Even with Ye Qingchan’s strength, having broken through to the mid-level Martial Arts Grandmaster realm, she could not catch him in a short time.

To capture him, Ye Qingchan had no choice but to push her speed to the limit and pursue him alone. The squad members, whose strength was only at the Martial Arts Master level, naturally could not keep up and could only provide support from behind.

A dark figure suddenly flashed past several squad members.

“What just flew past us?”

“Was that… a person?”

“At that speed, he must be at least a Martial Arts Grandmaster!”

“Could it be General Qin, who said he was going to help the captain?”

The squad members speculated one after another, assuming the dark figure was Qin Pojun.

In truth, it was Jiang Chen. After passing the squad members, he continued straight after Ye Qingchan and the doctor.

The doctor was weaker than Ye Qingchan. If he continued running, he would certainly be captured, so he seized a car by the roadside. After putting some distance between them, he left Ye Qingchan far behind.

“Mr. Jiang! I didn’t hit you, did I?”

Zhao Linxuan was driving her own convertible Maserati. She had nearly run into Jiang Chen on the road and hurriedly got out to check on him, visibly frightened.

“I’m fine. Lend me your car!”

Jiang Chen answered quickly. He had stopped only because he had seen Zhao Linxuan.

The doctor, who was suspected of being the middle-aged man from the Xiaokun Kingdom, had stolen a car and fled. Jiang Chen was worried that his vital energy would be exhausted, and Zhao Linxuan’s Maserati was a supercar—perfect for the pursuit.

“All right!”

Zhao Linxuan nodded without hesitation. She was delighted that Jiang Chen wanted to drive her car.

With a roar, Jiang Chen climbed in, turned the car around, and sped away. The Maserati shot down the road like a trident hurled through the air.

Ye Qingchan was just about to commandeer a vehicle to pursue the doctor when a convertible Maserati flashed past her at tremendous speed.

“I’m commandeering your car!”

Ye Qingchan grabbed hold of the vehicle, flipped neatly through the air, and landed in the passenger seat. When she saw Jiang Chen behind the wheel, she froze.

“Why is it you again?!”

Jiang Chen had not expected Ye Qingchan to leap into the car. Without saying a word, he continued pursuing the doctor.

“Although you drove here to help me, I still won’t like you!”

Ye Qingchan mistakenly assumed that Jiang Chen had come to assist her and declared solemnly, “We belong to different worlds. We were never destined to be together!”

“Don’t entertain any improper thoughts about me. Give up while you still can! Once you help me catch the car ahead, turn around and leave. Consider this a favor I owe you today.”

Jiang Chen glanced at the self-important Ye Qingchan and merely asked, “Is that masked doctor a middle-aged man from the Xiaokun Kingdom?”

“How do you know?”

Ye Qingchan stared at him in surprise.

Could Jiang Chen have been investigating the matter for her?

But that made no sense!

She had only just uncovered the doctor’s true identity inside the hospital. There was no way Jiang Chen could have figured it out before her!

Having received confirmation, Jiang Chen was now almost certain that the doctor and the middle-aged man from the Xiaokun Kingdom were one and the same.

“I’m warning you—the man is a high-level Martial Arts Master. Stay out of this, or you won’t even know how you died. Do you understand?”

Ye Qingchan warned him sternly. She did not want Jiang Chen to throw away his life over some impossible fantasy.

“Just a high-level Martial Arts Master? How could he possibly kill me? I just slapped a low-level Martial Arts Grandmaster to death. I’m far stronger than him!”

Jiang Chen spoke with complete indifference.

“Can you die if you stop bragging for once?”

Ye Qingchan snapped irritably. “I’ll tell you the truth. I already have someone I like! He’s a high-level Martial Arts Grandmaster, and he excels in both medicine and martial arts!”

“You can never compare with him, so you should give up. That will be better for both of us!”

She was not merely saying this out of anger. She genuinely felt affection for the Mr. Jiang who had once saved her.

“Is that so? Perhaps I should meet him someday. As it happens, I also excel in both medicine and martial arts—and I’m even stronger than he is!”

Jiang Chen said with great interest.

“Shut your mouth! Just focus on driving!”

Ye Qingchan frowned and shouted at him.

This man was obviously arguing with her out of spite, hoping to cling to her shamelessly. There was no way she would take him to meet Mr. Jiang and let him humiliate himself.

The doctor drove to a clinic and rushed inside the moment he stopped the car.

“Looks like this must be his hideout!”

Jiang Chen drove the Maserati after him and stopped beside the clinic. Just as he was about to get out and capture the doctor, Ye Qingchan suddenly grabbed his arm.

“Turn around and go back immediately, or I’ll knock you unconscious right here in the car!”

Ye Qingchan ordered him.
