Chapter Thirty-Eight: Another Marvelous Use of the Space

"Master! I'm here!" With this crisp voice, Qin Yu saw two toddlers appear before her, a boy and a girl. The little boy held a ball of poisonous mist, and at that moment, he hurled it toward the zombie that was baring its teeth at Qin Yu.

Qin Yu wanted to remind the boy that the poisonous mist was useless against that zombie, but then something astonishing happened...

That small ball of poisonous mist struck the zombie's arm, turning it instantly a bluish-black. The zombie's absorption of the mist slowed dramatically, and the area of rot caused by the poison began to spread.

Seeing this, the zombie simply chopped off its own arm, stepped back, and scrutinized the suddenly-appearing boy.

The boy turned and gave Qin Yu a wide smile. "Master~ It's me~ I've come to rescue you~"

The girl, feeling neglected, trotted over to Qin Yu and said, "Master~ I'm Little Blossom, Little Blossom~ um... I'm actually the dagger in your hand~" Blinking her eyes, she looked at Qin Yu, clearly seeking praise.

Then the boy shot the girl a look and said to Qin Yu, "Master~ I'm Little Shadow, she's Little Blossom, we've just come out of the space in your dagger!"

Qin Yu felt a surge of joy—she found herself able to move again! Perhaps the zombie was too weak to suppress her any longer.

Watching the beads of sweat appear on Little Shadow and Little Blossom's foreheads, Qin Yu realized their abilities were nearing their limits!

Anxiously, Qin Yu thought, if she were alone, she could retreat into her space, but she didn't know if Little Blossom and Little Shadow could enter. Damn!

Wait, Little Shadow equals Little Poison Mist, and the poison mist could enter the space. Little Blossom equals the dagger, and the dagger could enter the space. In that case...

Little Shadow and Little Blossom nodded in unison. Though their abilities were too weak to defeat the zombie, they could still distract it.

Seeing their agreement, Qin Yu's gaze sharpened. "Then let's head out! One! Two! Three!"

The three emerged from the space to see the turbulent green mist and the frenzy-driven zombie. While Little Shadow and Little Blossom kept the zombie occupied, Qin Yu hurriedly drew the mist into her space...

She was lucky—the chaos of the mist made it possible to absorb it so easily. Normally, its innate pattern wouldn't allow it to be lured elsewhere...

In no time, nearly all the green mist above the town was absorbed. Without its replenishment, the zombie's power waned, and it eventually dropped a tier...
