Volume 1, Chapter 135: Cuckold

It was rare for Xie Liuzheng to have a day off, and she had no desire to stay cooped up in a hotel, so she dragged Song Qingyu to a club known for its exceptional privacy.
After being best friends with Xie Liuzheng for so many years, Song Qingyu could hardly fail to notice that something was wrong.
Xie Liuzheng kept pouring drink after drink down her throat. She was obviously trying to drown her sorrows.
“Drinking like this is bad for you.” Song Qingyu pressed down on her hand. “All right, stop drinking. What happened?”
Xie Liuzheng was an exceptionally strong woman. Back when she had been a nobody in the entertainment industry, an obscure actress who was bullied because she had no connections, she had never even blinked.
Now that she had Fanhai Entertainment and Fu Linhan backing her, everyone in the industry showed her at least a little respect.
Since it was not a problem with work, it had to be a problem with love.
Something occurred to Song Qingyu, and her eyes lit up. “Did you find the owner of the Four-Faced Buddha?”
At those words, Xie Liuzheng felt even worse.
She had not wanted Song Qingyu to worry about her, but she could no longer keep it bottled up. “He said saving me was just a small favor, and he wanted his pendant back.”
Shen Zhou’s face surfaced in Xie Liuzheng’s mind. “He’s very handsome, but he’s frighteningly fierce.”
Song Qingyu’s heart gave a sudden lurch.
Under ordinary circumstances, given Xie Liuzheng’s personality, even if she had been drugged and rescued by a stranger, she would not be this miserable over it.
But now—
“Zhengzheng, you… you haven’t fallen for that man, have you?”
“Like him? How could I? Waiter, I hear the men here are quite handsome. Bring me… bring me ten…”
Song Qingyu tugged at the drunken Xie Liuzheng. “You’re a public figure, at least try to have some restraint.”
“Don’t worry. This place is very private.”
Ten handsome young men stood in a neat row, fresh-faced and radiant. There were delicate and androgynous types, sunny and cheerful types, domineering-president types, personal-trainer types, and more—
There was no type they could not provide, only types one might never have thought of.
“Hey, you two, take care of my best friend.”
Two men suddenly walked toward Song Qingyu. She hurriedly waved them off. “No, no, thank you. I’m already married.”
If Pei Jingmo found out she had ordered men at a club, that jealous man would explode.
“Don’t worry, big sister. Your husband won’t find out.”
Song Qingyu: “…I really don’t need anyone.”
When she turned around, she saw a man seated on either side of Xie Liuzheng. One was pouring her wine while the other peeled grapes for her. Xie Liuzheng ran her hands over their pectoral muscles and clicked her tongue.
“Your chests aren’t firm enough. You need to work out more.”
Shen Zhou had no idea how he had trained, but his chest was rock-hard. It looked as though he could crack walnuts with it.
“Hey, you two without any muscles, dance for me.”
“What kind of dance would you like to see, miss?”
“Hmm… something a little more provocative. Seduce me. Let’s see which of you can successfully capture my attention tonight.”

Xie Liuzheng suddenly slipped into the persona of a domineering CEO. Seeing her happy for once, Song Qingyu did not interrupt her fun. Still, she did not dare drink, worried that the two of them might get drunk and run into danger.
But since they were already there, they might as well enjoy the show.
As Song Qingyu ate sunflower seeds and watched the handsome men perform, she suddenly understood why so many people were reluctant to go home.
Who would not want a life of wine, women, and endless luxury?
Still, that sort of thing was not really her style. She would rather curl up in the game room, tucked in Pei Jingmo’s arms while they played a few rounds together.
Remembering that Pei Jingmo still had to work overtime on Saturday, Song Qingyu felt a pang of sympathy for him.
At the bridal shop—
Lu Rongrong cheerfully browsed through wedding dresses. Her gaze fell on Pei Jingmo, who was sitting on the sofa.
“Yuandong, what do you think of this dress?”
The face beneath his mask had already grown impatient. Rather than waste time here, he wanted to go home and spend time with his wife.
“Mm.”
“What about this one?”
“Pretty.”
Lu Rongrong walked over to Pei Jingmo with a dark expression. “You didn’t even look at it. How do you know it’s pretty? Yuandong, you’re the one who came with me to choose our wedding dress. Who are you trying to impress with that cold attitude?”
Pei Jingmo lifted his eyes and gave her a chilly look. “You don’t have to look. Or you can simply tell me to leave.”
Lu Rongrong ground her teeth in fury. She knew Gu Yuandong did not like her. He was deliberately saying things like that to provoke her, hoping she would grow to hate him.
Hah—
He had already succeeded in awakening her desire to conquer him. She was determined to make him hers!
“I’m not going to ask you to leave. Today, you’re staying with me to choose the wedding dress for our engagement.”
Lu Rongrong took one of the dresses she liked into the changing room. With nothing else to do, Pei Jingmo took out his phone and sent Song Qingyu a message.
The instant he raised his eyes, he happened to see a wedding dress displayed on a mannequin. He rose and walked over to it, imagining Song Qingyu wearing it.
She would look breathtaking, like a fairy. His Qingqing was the most beautiful woman in the world.
Their marriage had happened so hastily that he had never given Qingqing a wedding.
“Mr. Gu, is there anything I can help you with?”
“Send this wedding dress, in that size, to Tianqi Group.”
“Yes, sir.”
When Lu Rongrong emerged, she happened to witness the scene. Without revealing anything, she went over to the attendant and asked for the size.
It was not her size. It did not seem to be Xie Liuzheng’s, either.
Xie Liuzheng had a fuller figure, and she certainly could not fit into this dress.
A wedding dress worth several million—who was he buying it for?
Yet the delivery address was the chairman’s office at Tianqi Group, so there was no way to find out directly from that.
Damn it. Could she have misunderstood?

Was Xie Liuzheng not Gu Yuandong’s unattainable first love after all?
Lu Rongrong clenched her fists, her expression frighteningly ugly. Whoever that woman was, she had dared to make Lu Rongrong spend so much time and effort. Lu Rongrong would make sure she paid for it.
After leaving the bridal shop, Lu Rongrong climbed into Pei Jingmo’s car without invitation.
“Yuandong, since it’s so rare for us to spend an entire day together, wherever you go today, I’ll go too.”
A faint glimmer passed through Pei Jingmo’s eyes, and a cold smile curved his lips. “Are you sure?”
“Of course. I’m curious about how you usually spend your weekends.”
“Fine. Guo Rang, take us to Hidden.”
When the car arrived, Lu Rongrong only realized after getting out that Hidden was the name of a club.
Seeing Gu Yuandong walk inside, Lu Rongrong followed him.
Everyone who worked at Hidden had been specially trained. The moment the attendants saw the distinctive mask covering Pei Jingmo’s face, they immediately contacted the manager.
The manager personally came to attend to the young master.
As soon as he entered the private room, Pei Jingmo lounged back on the sofa, crossing his legs and resting them on the cushions. Unlike his usual overbearing executive persona, he looked like a street tough.
“Young master, what would you like to do today?”
“Bring me a few pretty girls.”
Even Lu Rongrong, who usually had an excellent temper, could not hold herself back. “You came here to hire escorts?”
“Didn’t Miss Lu say she was curious about how I spend my weekends? I’m broadening your horizons.”
The manager quickly brought in the most beautiful women in the club. Pei Jingmo extended his elegant, slender hand and crooked a finger.
“Come here.”
The women immediately swayed over and sat down beside him. With one woman tucked under each arm, Pei Jingmo fixed his shadowy, amused gaze on Lu Rongrong’s livid face.
He was clearly a regular at clubs like this, carrying himself with practiced charm and speaking in a smooth, flirtatious drawl.
“Baby, that’s not how you feed someone a drink.”
The woman understood at once. She took a sip of wine herself, then leaned toward Pei Jingmo to feed it to him mouth-to-mouth.
Before their lips could meet, Lu Rongrong furiously picked up the glass in front of her and smashed it onto the floor.
“Gu Yuandong, what do you mean by this?”
Pei Jingmo regarded her coolly, a wicked smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“For all your reputation as a wealthy young lady, you have remarkably little grace. If you can’t even accept something this mild, what will you do when things get more exciting?”
“You’re doing this on purpose just to provoke me!”
“No, no, no. I really do enjoy this kind of thing. A wildflower is always more fragrant than a domestic one. If you marry me, you’ll have to accept me cheating on you every day.”
“Wow—Baby Qingqing, did we just hear something we really shouldn’t have?”
The sudden sound of Xie Liuzheng calling Song Qingyu left Pei Jingmo’s mind utterly blank.
He turned stiffly toward the door and saw Song Qingyu supporting Xie Liuzheng—
Pei Jingmo: “…”
