Yi Ming and the ancient ancestor of the Mo family were no better off—each disheveled and battered—but neither had unleashed their full power.

Yi Ming had yet to use his forbidden weapon, while the Mo ancestor still relied on a bare flesh-and-blood palm to meet the enemy’s assault. This showed that both were indeed stronger than Lin Fan, even with the mysterious power supporting him.

“Both of them are scheming against each other, holding back their strongest attacks. But that man’s third strike is enough to force out their countermeasures. I must also draw on an additional tenth of my strength, or I’ll surely be cut down,” Lin Fan thought, quickly understanding the situation. He began to communicate with the energy left by the mysterious figure, and his aura surged dramatically, displaying a vigor as fierce as a dragon and a tiger.

Surprisingly, the third attack lingered in the air for quite some time without descending. Perhaps it was allowing Lin Fan and the others to recover.

After half a quarter of an hour, both Yi Ming and the Mo ancestor had returned to their peak states. Each activated their forbidden techniques, standing ready.

One wielded a nine-section whip, radiating a terrifying aura, sharp and menacing. The other was more reserved, yet held an ordinary-looking small flag.

“What kind of flag is that? It’s terrifying—I can even hear the deafening cries of battle, the clash of metal and horses charging like a tiger devouring thousands of miles,” Lin Fan said solemnly, casting a careful glance at the flag in the Mo ancestor’s hand. He sensed it was no ordinary item.

“Fifty years ago, in the Ancient Buddha Domain, a treasured artifact emerged—rumored to be an ancient iron-blooded war banner. Its whereabouts later became unknown, but unexpectedly, Brother Liuguang took it away,” Yi Ming said cautiously, glancing at the flag in the Mo ancestor’s grasp, revealing its origin either deliberately or inadvertently.

“Heh,” the Mo ancestor smiled faintly but said nothing in return.

At that moment, the wind surged and clouds roiled. The man struck again, this time with power at the late Void-breaking realm. Brilliant rays of light roared like a tide, immense strength descending from the heavens. The sword light was sharper and more agile now, as if wielded by a true late Void-breaking expert. Its destructive force was terrifying.

“Break!” the Mo ancestor shouted. The iron-blooded war banner waved, unleashing an unparalleled sacred power that swept through the skies.

Blood-red light shot upward, and a massive flag blocked the descending sword light, attempting to refine and absorb it.

Yi Ming then unleashed his nine-section whip forbidden weapon, directly attacking the sword light. The heavens and earth thundered, distant stars exploded, as if signaling the end of the world.

“Suppress,” Lin Fan said expressionlessly. He recalled the man in the mural, who had slowly extended a hand.

This was the embryonic form of the Palm World. The Fate God Fist was truly the closest to the three thousand Dao paths, possessing unfathomable power. But the sword light was too sharp, and the late Void-breaking realm strength was beyond Lin Fan’s endurance.

His palm trembled. Streams of divine light descended like an inverted Milky Way. His face paled, coughing up blood continuously.

“Too powerful. No wonder it’s the strength of the late Void-breaking realm. Without an ancestral weapon, I am far from a match.”

Lin Fan’s eyes gleamed brilliantly. He summoned all his power, reaching out with his other hand, fingers darting fiercely. Each finger contained the strength of the early Void-breaking realm—fearsome beyond measure.

The sword light finally dissipated. It had only one move. Had a real late Void-breaking expert struck, there would have been no other outcome—the three of them would have been shattered, their paths extinguished.

At the same time, Yi Ming and the Mo ancestor also resolved their battles. Their bodies radiated chaotic divine light, exuding an invincible aura.

Though the three were battered, they had passed this stage. The iron-blooded war banner was truly formidable. The Mo ancestor couldn’t fully unleash its power, or he would have broken the formation and reached the depths of the tomb long ago. Yi Ming’s nine-section whip forbidden weapon was also strong, containing a trace of ancestral weapon aura, enough to suppress ordinary Void-breaking experts. Lin Fan, however, had used all his means without a powerful weapon—he had to rely solely on his own strength to break through.

“Haha, just as expected. It was a close call, but having the three of us share the burden was indeed a good strategy,” Yi Ming said joyfully. Though injured, he could not hide his delight. The Mo ancestor had been stuck at the second stage before and dared not attempt the final challenge. Unexpectedly, with Lin Fan’s presence, they genuinely overcame this hurdle.

He glanced subtly at Lin Fan and the others, a faint killing intent flickering in his eyes.

This was the tomb of the Yi family’s ancestor, and Yi Ming naturally did not wish for others to seize its treasures. Yet, after much hesitation, he refrained from attacking.

He lacked confidence in breaking through the iron-blooded war banner, and Lin Fan remained mysterious, never once using any weapon. Rumor had it he possessed an ancestral weapon in Wangwu Mountain, which was the greatest concern for both Yi Ming and the Mo ancestor.

“All right, we’ve passed this stage. Next, we will each be teleported to different locations. Who finds fortune will depend on their own ability,” Yi Ming said. He had studied some of the Yi family’s ancient texts and knew certain secrets of the tomb.

As his words fell, the distant man spoke.

“After passing the second stage, you will be scattered. The upcoming stages are even more perilous. If anyone is fearful, they may leave now—but that means forsaking the chance at treasure here.”

His cold voice resounded, then he vanished as if never having appeared.

At the same time, stars exploded, divine radiance blazed, and the three reappeared inside the main hall, officially completing the second stage.

They traveled in silence. After half a quarter of an hour, a passageway appeared before them, leading to three separate destinations.

“Gentlemen, we part ways here,” Yi Ming said, stepping first into a portal and vanishing in the blink of an eye.

The Mo ancestor also chose to leave. Both had come for the tomb’s treasures and naturally did not want to miss the chance.

“A passage to an unknown place. It seems I have no other choice,” Lin Fan murmured, sighing after a moment’s thought. He had come seeking the teleportation array, but it seemed none existed here—or if it did, it lay deep within the tomb. Now, cornered, leaving would only breed regret.

“No matter what dangers lie ahead, I will charge forward boldly. Hesitation is not my nature.”

Finally resolved, Lin Fan stepped into the passageway. Mist rose around him, and he immediately vanished.

“Indeed, you’ve entered. I want to see if you truly have some connection to the master. If so, it wouldn’t be bad for me—I should make my move,” a mysterious divine corpse spoke softly from the depths of the tomb. It had never moved, as if rooted in place, yet everything within the tomb was under its control, and escape was impossible for Lin Fan and the others.
