Chapter 159 Striking Out
“Don’t think we’re unaware. Each member of your Divine Son Alliance harbors wild ambitions, eager to wipe out everyone in our Divine Court. Now that there are no outsiders here, there’s no need for you to hide.”
Yun Yi spoke, his murderous intent rampant. Although his strength was only at the ninth level of the Physical Realm, he was remarkably bold, showing no fear even when facing those at the Vein Condensation Realm.
“I’ve heard you have Yun Xi’s favor. I wonder how she would react if I killed you,” Han Feng said calmly, his gaze unwavering, showing no concern for Yun Yi. However, this remark caused a flicker of emotion within Lin Fan, who hovered in the void.
“It seems Senior Sister Yun Xi has begun cultivating her trusted subordinates recently, even bestowing surnames upon them. This is a sign of her growing maturity in handling affairs,” Lin Fan thought. He was the kind of person who could piece together the whole picture from mere fragments of information, just as the demon had described.
“What’s the matter? Who exactly is this Yun Xi to disturb your Dao heart so?” The ancestor of the Yi family looked at Lin Fan with suspicion, sensing the subtle shift in his spirit.
“She is a senior sister of mine who has done me great favors. Had it not been for her back then, I wouldn’t have achieved what I have now; I might have died an untimely death,” Lin Fan replied, his face betraying no emotion, making him inscrutable.
“Is that so?” The Yi family ancestor remained noncommittal and returned his attention to the few figures on the ground.
“How dare you!” Yun Yi snorted coldly, showing no fear.
Yun Xi had already ascended to the status of a goddess, her power now unfathomable. Rumor had it she had reached the Celestial Realm a year ago, nearly rivaling Duanmu Ci. It was precisely because of Yun Xi’s presence that the Divine Court could stand toe-to-toe with the Divine Son Alliance.
“What do I have to fear? There’s no one else here. If I kill all of you, everything will be settled. Then the Divine Court won’t dare to trouble me. The Tianwu Domain isn’t peaceful these days; demon clans often roam about, and losing a few outer disciples is nothing unusual.”
Han Feng had already planned everything and had no hesitation.
“Kill!” Feng Qingming suddenly roared and attacked immediately. He drew a long spear from his cosmos pouch and thrust it straight at Han Feng.
The other two also moved, evidently familiar with coordinated attacks. Three surges of vitality erupted, making even a first-level Vein Condensation Realm practitioner no match.
“Hmph.” Han Feng remained unafraid, merely stretching out one hand.
“You three working together can only contend with a first-level Vein Condensation Realm, but unfortunately, I have reached the second level and will soon be officially recognized as a true disciple upon my coronation at Tiandu Sect.”
Han Feng’s face was expressionless as he slapped his palm forward. A vast vitality condensed into a colossal hand nearly ten feet wide, overwhelmingly powerful.
“Bang!”
A tremendous explosion rang out. Feng Qingming and the other two coughed up blood and staggered backward, proving not to be a match.
“You...” Feng Qingming’s face twisted in shock, having underestimated Han Feng’s strength.
“Haha, die!” Han Feng laughed arrogantly, clearly intending to finish them off. His power at the second Vein Condensation Realm was no pretense.
“Even if we die, you won’t live in peace!”
Feng Qingming and his comrades exchanged a glance, each seeing fierce determination in the others’ eyes. A dreadful aura spread as they activated secret arts, dramatically boosting their strength for a short time.
“Junior Brother Yun, Junior Sister Zhuge, you take out the rest. I’ll handle Han Feng!”
Feng Qingming was resolute; his power had surged to the Vein Condensation Realm level, giving him a fighting chance.
Zhuge and Yun Yi nodded without hesitation. Both sides now sought each other’s destruction, leaving no room for mercy.
Besides Han Feng, the others were at the ninth Physical Realm level and could not match the two of them.
“Hmph, it’s said Yun Xi has passed down secret arts that temporarily boost strength. It seems to be true. But do you think that’s enough? Secret arts always have time limits.”
Han Feng’s face showed surprise but no concern. Even the strongest, Feng Qingming, now only wielded the power of the first Vein Condensation Realm. The other two were even less formidable.
“Kill!”
Feng Qingming charged again with his spear, determined to hold Han Feng back.
But he was mistaken—Han Feng cared little about those lives. In his eyes, as long as he could slay Feng Qingming and the others, losing a few was insignificant.
The battle was swift. With the aid of secret arts, Zhuge and Yun Yi, both elevated to the tenth Physical Realm, attacked like wolves among sheep, quickly dispatching their opponents. They then joined forces to assault Han Feng, the air filled with dazzling light as the fierce fight continued.
“You still won’t act? Those little brats will die otherwise,” the Yi family ancestor said coldly, unconcerned with Feng Qingming’s fate; it was none of his business.
“To become strong, one must endure setbacks. Blind protection is not what I desire.”
Lin Fan’s face remained void of expression, indifferent. He was merely biding his time.
Han Feng truly was a mighty warrior at the second Vein Condensation Realm. Even with secret arts, Feng Qingming and his allies were no match, and soon Han Feng gained the upper hand.
“The Divine Court is nothing but a bunch of chickens and dogs, relying only on secret arts to contend with my Divine Son Alliance. But given time, their incompetence will be exposed.”
Han Feng sneered, snapping a finger to send Zhuge flying, then struck Yun Yi with a palm, causing his body to tremble, several bones cracking.
The gap between the Physical and Vein Condensation Realms was vast, one only crossed by geniuses. Feng Qingming was clearly not one, and even with secret arts, he was no match.
Finally, Han Feng punched through Feng Qingming’s defense, landing a brutal blow to his shoulder.
Blood spurted wildly as Feng Qingming was hurled violently, crashing heavily to the ground.
“Chickens and dogs—that’s what the Divine Court’s people are like,” Han Feng taunted, advancing slowly, a fierce killing intent gleaming in his eyes.
“Who did you call chickens and dogs?”
At that moment, a cold voice echoed across the sky.
Lin Fan finally took action. Though he did not esteem Feng Qingming’s talents, his fiery spirit was admirable.
“Senior?”
Han Feng’s face changed drastically as he looked around, but could see no one.
“Repeat that—who did you call chickens and dogs?”
Lin Fan’s voice was icy, carrying immense authority.
“Being able to hide in the void—are you a Celestial Realm overlord?!” Han Feng’s expression twisted wildly, but he gritted his teeth and said, “Senior, this is an internal matter of Tiandu Sect. Please do not interfere.”
Han Feng was indeed audacious, still invoking Tiandu Sect’s name against Lin Fan at this moment.
“Clamor.”
A cold snort sounded as the void twisted. A giant hand manifested, radiant with boundless light, as if attempting to refine the heavens and earth themselves.
Lin Fan unleashed the Grand Celestial Hand, an overwhelming pressure descending that suffocated all.
Han Feng did not even scream before being crushed into a bloody pulp, his existence extinguished.
“Let’s go. I already know where they intend to go.”
After killing Han Feng, Lin Fan paid no heed to the wary gaze of the Yi family ancestor. With a movement, he flew toward the distance.
