Chapter 106: I Am Not Pleased!

A Grandmaster’s authority could not be seen with the naked eye, yet it truly existed.
Everyone in the hospital room could clearly feel an overwhelming pressure that made their hearts tremble with fear.
“Treat the illness right now. If you can cure Miss Yiling, I can spare your life. The Qin family will not mistreat you either. You will receive every benefit, honor, and status you deserve.”
Xu Feihong displayed the might of a Grandmaster, but he did not immediately attack Lin Yang as Xue Pengju had demanded.
“I already said it. I will not treat her.”
Lin Yang’s expression did not change as he enunciated each word.
“Grandmaster Xu, stop wasting your breath on him. That boy simply cannot cure Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash. Kill him and take Yiling back to Fengyang for treatment. I refuse to believe that the famous doctors of Fengyang are inferior to those in this little backwater called Luocheng.”
Xue Pengju was consumed by hatred and fury. He only wanted Lin Yang dead as quickly as possible.
“The famous doctors of Fengyang cannot cure Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash,” Xu Feihong said.
After learning that Qin Yiling had contracted Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash, Qin Zhengkun had immediately consulted the renowned doctors of Fengyang. Every one of them had told him that the disease was incurable.
Thus, although Xu Feihong still doubted that Lin Yang could treat Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash, he nevertheless wanted to let him try.
If Lin Yang failed, there would be plenty of time to kill him afterward.
“If even the famous doctors of Fengyang cannot cure it, do you really think he can? Look at his age. There is absolutely no way he can cure Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash!”
Xue Pengju was petty and vindictive, with an exceedingly narrow mind. He did not want Lin Yang to live even one minute longer.
“But he was able to prescribe a formula that suppresses the attacks of Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash,” Xu Feihong said.
“And what of it? That does not mean he can cure it. Grandmaster Xu, he injured me. He must die. Kill him at once!”
Xue Pengju’s face twisted viciously.
Xu Feihong remained unmoved and completely ignored his orders.
“I will say this one last time. Cure Miss Yiling, and the Qin family will grant you the true title and status of a divine physician. Everything else will be forgiven. If you refuse to treat her, death is your only path. Not only will you die—all of them will die as well.”
Xu Feihong took another step forward. The might of a Grandmaster radiating from him grew even stronger, pressing so heavily upon the ordinary people in the room that they found it difficult to breathe.
The corner of Lin Yang’s mouth lifted slightly, and a trace of contempt appeared on his face.
“The might of a Grandmaster? Very good. But this place is not home to only one Great Grandmaster.”
Lin Yang also stepped forward, coming within three paces of Xu Feihong. He released the might of a Grandmaster as well and confronted Xu Feihong head-on.
Xu Feihong’s brows drew together. The power emanating from Lin Yang was no weaker than his own.

“I never imagined that you were a Grandmaster too. A Grandmaster of your age would be considered a promising young prodigy even in Fengyang. It seems that Luocheng has produced quite a remarkable figure.”
Admiration involuntarily surfaced in Xu Feihong’s eyes.
“If you cure Miss Yiling, I will recommend you for a position within the Qin family. You will receive our full attention. Within a few years, your name will resound throughout Fengyang, and you may even have the opportunity to become a truly important figure.”
“Grandmaster Xu, we did not come here to recruit talent. This boy has no respect for the Qin family and must never be recruited. He should be killed!”
Xue Pengju had no intention of allowing Lin Yang to join the Qin family.
He knew very well that if Lin Yang could truly cure Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash and was also a martial Grandmaster, his value would be entirely different.
If he joined the Qin family, he would certainly receive their full support and cultivation. That was precisely the situation Xue Pengju did not want to see.
A man as vindictive as he was wanted only Lin Yang’s death. He absolutely did not want to see Lin Yang grow stronger.
“Young Master Xue, recruiting talent for the Qin family is one of my responsibilities. From this moment on, I will handle everything here. You need not interfere.”
Xu Feihong’s words made Xue Pengju feel humiliated, and he was furious. However, he had been injured and truly could do nothing against Xu Feihong.
Xu Feihong was one of Qin Zhengkun’s trusted aides, and his words carried considerable weight.
“Lin Yang, have you made your decision? An opportunity like this does not come often. You should consider yourself fortunate that I was the one sent to Luocheng. I value talent. Had anyone else come in my place, you would never have been given this chance.”
Xu Feihong turned his gaze toward Lin Yang.
He believed that so long as Lin Yang was not a fool, he would certainly agree.
No one could refuse an invitation from the Qin family.
“Should I be grateful for your great kindness, then?” Lin Yang asked.
“When you achieve fame and success, I, the man who recommended and introduced you, will naturally receive certain benefits as well,” Xu Feihong replied.
At this point, Lin Yang, who had never wanted to waste his breath, could not help saying a few more words.
“Actually, I did intend to befriend the Qin family at first. After all, the Qin family is one of the four great aristocratic clans of the southern region, and associating with them would benefit me as well.”
“He who understands the times is a great man. It is good that you understand. Hurry up and treat Miss Yiling.”
Xu Feihong was delighted. Recruiting Lin Yang and curing Qin Yiling would both count as tremendous accomplishments for him.
“Shut up!”
Lin Yang’s tone changed abruptly, turning cold and severe.
“I have not finished speaking. What gives you the right to interrupt me? How irritating.”

“You…”
Xu Feihong’s brows immediately knitted together, and displeasure rose within him.
“You what? Have you no manners? We are both Grandmasters. While I am speaking, do you think you have the right to interrupt me?” Lin Yang rebuked.
The muscles at the corners of Xu Feihong’s eyes twitched twice. Suppressing his fury, he said, “Fine. Spit it out already.”
“But you captured my friend and infected her with Blood Carbuncle Poison Rash to threaten me. You are also slaughtering innocent people here. Because of that, I have changed my mind.”
“So what if you are the Qin family? If you are willing to be the Qin family’s dog, that is your business. But I—damn it—am not interested!”
Lin Yang’s refusal was cold and unequivocal.
“You dare refuse? Then you will die!”
Xu Feihong threatened him.
“Do you really think you can kill me? What an arrogant fool!”
Lin Yang let out a cold snort.
Seeing how atrocious Lin Yang’s attitude was, Xu Feihong finally stopped restraining his anger.
“Good! Very good! I offered you a path to survival, yet you insisted on rejecting it. You ungrateful fool. I will take your worthless life right now!”
Xu Feihong said no more and struck at Lin Yang with a palm powerful enough to annihilate him.
When Xue Pengju saw that Lin Yang had actually rejected Xu Feihong’s offer and chosen to tear away all pretense of civility, he secretly rejoiced.
“He truly is an ungrateful fool. Still, that suits me perfectly. Good riddance.”
With a cold smile on his face, Xue Pengju hurriedly retreated.
When two martial Grandmasters fought, even a spacious hospital room could not prevent bystanders from being injured accidentally.
The hospital nurses seized the opportunity and fled the room.
Xu Feihong was no weakling. He was a Fourth-Rank Grandmaster, possessing the strength of four bulls. Every punch and palm strike unleashed with full force carried more than four thousand pounds of power, creating a terrifying spectacle.
Yet none of Xu Feihong’s punches or palm strikes could land on Lin Yang.
Lin Yang’s movement technique was simply too swift. Xu Feihong possessed the strength of four bulls, but he could not even touch the hem of Lin Yang’s garment. His overwhelming power was therefore useless.
