Lin Yang decided to drop the act and spoke bluntly, “It’s been two years—you’ve developed quite well. Let your brother give you a physical checkup.”

Qin Yanran let out a sharp scream and hurriedly used her other hand to cover her proud twin peaks.

But she realized Lin Yang’s gaze was fixed elsewhere, and in this position, he could see everything clearly.

Panicking, Qin Yanran quickly tried to cover herself below as well.

“Let go of me, you bastard!”

“I won’t,” Lin Yang replied.

“Lin Yang, I’ll kill you! I’ll gouge out your eyes and destroy you completely!”

Qin Yanran was furious, seething with rage and wishing she could disappear into the floor.

At that moment, Qin Menong opened the door and came in, witnessing the scene.

“Lin Yang!” Qin Menong’s mind buzzed as she rushed over. “What are you trying to do to Yanran?”

Seeing her, Lin Yang regained some composure and released Qin Yanran.

Qin Yanran, however, was in no mood to hold back; she wanted to attack Lin Yang again and finish him off.

Qin Menong stopped her, pulling her behind her.

“Mom… he’s not blind. He saw everything.” Qin Yanran broke down in tears, feeling utterly wronged.

“I told you to get dressed at home! Go upstairs, now!” Qin Menong shouted coldly.

“I’ll kill him! I’ll gouge out his eyes!” Qin Yanran cried out in fury.

“Upstairs, now!” Qin Menong’s voice was harsh. Qin Yanran dared not argue and, sobbing, dashed up the stairs.

“Lin Yang, didn’t you promise me you wouldn’t hurt Yanran? How can you go back on your word?” Qin Menong scolded, clearly angry.

“Are you jealous?” Lin Yang grinned.

“Jealous? Don’t be ridiculous! You beast!” Qin Menong was truly furious.

“This isn’t my fault. She was the one undressed, and she started the fight. Besides, I didn’t actually do anything to her, did I?” Lin Yang said as he sat down.

“If I hadn’t come back, can you guarantee you wouldn’t have lost control?” Qin Menong interrogated.

“Who can say?” Lin Yang answered honestly.

If Qin Menong hadn’t returned when she did, he truly wasn’t sure he wouldn’t have taken things further with Qin Yanran.

“Get out. I don’t want to see you,” Qin Menong said coldly.

---

“What if I don’t leave? What could you possibly do to me?” Lin Yang crossed his legs leisurely, patted his thigh, and said, “Come, sit here.”

Qin Menong bit her lip and whispered, “Please, just go. Yanran can’t know about us.”

“Fine, I’ll come find you tonight. Get yourself cleaned up and wait for me.” Lin Yang stood up, slapped her shapely bottom, and took the liberty of giving it a squeeze.

Unfortunately, this scene was witnessed by the returning Qin Yanran.

“You blind fool! What are you doing? How dare you hit my mom!” Qin Yanran shouted, her rage boiling over as she charged at him.

She hadn’t bested him before and wasn’t about to let it go. With a running start, she launched a flying kick.

Lin Yang sidestepped, grabbed her leg, and pulled. Off balance, Qin Yanran did the splits and landed hard on the floor.

She sprang up, ready to attack again, but Qin Menong stopped her.

“Yanran, you’re no match for him.”

“Impossible!” Qin Yanran refused to believe it. Just a few days ago, she had nearly beaten Lin Yang to death.

“Aunt Wang was injured by him. She’s still in the hospital,” Qin Menong explained.

Qin Yanran’s face was full of disbelief.

“Listen to your mother. Your skills are nothing to show off in front of me,” Lin Yang said, then left without another word.

“You’re the one with nothing! Get back here!” Qin Yanran shouted after him, but Lin Yang ignored her.

“Mom, what’s going on? Did you cure his eyes?” Qin Yanran asked.

Qin Menong shook her head. “No.”

“Then who did? And did he really hurt Aunt Wang? That’s impossible! She’s a third-tier expert.”

Qin Yanran was completely baffled.

“That night, he was thrown into the Luoshui River and was saved by a master. Not only did they cure his eyes, but they also taught him martial arts,” Qin Menong explained.

“That wretch! Not only does he have nine lives, his luck is incredible!” Qin Yanran spat, her voice bitter.

“Yanran, don’t provoke him anymore. Just stay out of each other's way,” said Qin Menong.

“Mom, we could just hire someone to get rid of him. Otherwise, he’ll definitely take revenge on us. After all, we made his life hell these past two years,” Qin Yanran said with venom.

“Enough! Leave this to me. Just do as I say,” Qin Menong said sternly. “And with all the company’s troubles lately, I’m very busy. Unless necessary, don’t come home—stay at school.”

Losing the Ding Sheng Group as a partner had indeed brought Qin Menong tremendous trouble. Not only were the shareholders putting pressure on her, but other business partners were also hedging their bets.

Some delayed payments, others proposed ending their cooperation, leaving Qin Menong at her wit’s end.

“Mom, I don’t want to stay at school. I can keep you company at home,” Qin Yanran pleaded.

“You won’t listen to me now?” Qin Menong’s voice was cold.

Qin Yanran dared not argue, quickly replying, “Alright, I’ll do as you say. I’ll go back to school first thing tomorrow.”

“Go now.”

Qin Yanran had no choice. Pouting, she left the house.

“What’s gotten into my mom lately? She’s been acting so strange. Could she be hitting menopause early? Looks like I need to find her a partner soon,” Qin Yanran decided, resolved to take matters into her own hands.

Lin Yang hadn’t left the neighborhood. When he saw Qin Yanran’s car drive off, he returned home.

Qin Menong sat on the sofa, head propped on one hand, looking weary.

“You look tired,” Lin Yang said, sitting beside her.

“I’m fine,” Qin Menong replied, forcing herself to perk up.

“I’ll give you a massage. It’ll help with the fatigue.”

Lin Yang walked behind her, his fingers precisely locating her pressure points and applying just the right amount of force. Gradually, Qin Menong relaxed, closed her eyes, and enjoyed the sensation.

After more than ten minutes, she was nearly asleep.

“Mmm… that felt wonderful.” Qin Menong stretched, feeling refreshed and re-energized.

“You can give massages? Your technique is even better than at the wellness center.”

“There’s a lot you don’t know about me. You’ll find out more in time,” Lin Yang smiled. “I haven’t had dinner yet. It’s been ages since I tasted your cooking. I give you a massage, you make me dinner—how’s that?”

“You used to complain my cooking was awful, not as good as Aunt Yu’s,” Qin Menong pouted.

“That was when I was young and foolish. As the saying goes, ‘In youth, one doesn’t appreciate a godmother, mistaking an aunt for a treasure,’” Lin Yang joked.

“You smooth-talking rascal,” Qin Menong rolled her eyes at him, then went upstairs to change into a sexy short slip dress. She tied up her hair, put on an apron, and suddenly looked every bit the elegant housewife.

Lin Yang followed her into the kitchen. Qin Menong wasn’t skilled at complicated dishes, so she stuck to simple home-style cooking.

From behind, Lin Yang wrapped his arms around her.

“What are you doing? Let go. Didn’t you want me to cook?” Qin Menong protested.

“I don’t want tomato and eggs,” Lin Yang said.

“Then what do you want? I might not know how to make it.”

“I want abalone,” he whispered, his hand sliding up under her dress.
