Chapter 64: Falling Into the Trap
Lin Yimo’s beauty, paired with the blue diamond necklace, was truly striking, giving her an air of refined elegance.
Wei Dagang, unable to restrain himself any longer, pulled Lin Yimo into his arms and tried to kiss her, but she turned her head away to avoid him.
“Mr. Wei, please don’t do this,” Lin Yimo pushed him away, feeling deeply uncomfortable, unwilling to sell her body.
“What’s wrong? Are you having second thoughts?” Wei Dagang’s expression darkened.
Lin Yimo took off the necklace from her neck and said, “I… I haven’t showered yet.”
Wei Dagang chuckled, “Then hurry up and wash. I’m waiting for you.”
Lin Yimo quickly slipped into the bathroom, leaning against the door with her eyes closed, her mind unable to settle.
Though she had mentally prepared herself before coming here, there was always a hurdle in her heart she couldn’t cross.
She calmed herself for a long time before undressing and turning on the shower.
Yet, the thought of soon being pressed beneath Wei Dagang—a man as old as her father—subjected to his ravaging and violation, made her feel sick to her stomach.
After showering, she couldn’t summon the courage to open the door and step out.
Just then, her phone vibrated. It was her mother calling.
Lin Yimo hesitated, then answered.
“Yimo, where are you? It’s so late and you’re still not home.”
“I’m at Shanshan’s place, I won’t be coming home tonight.”
“Liar! I just called Shanshan, she told me everything. Come home right now,” Sun Hongxia demanded sternly.
Shanshan was Lin Yimo’s closest friend. The matter of Lin Yimo offering herself to Wei Dagang had only been confided to Shanshan, who had pleaded with her not to go through with it.
“Mom, I have no choice. Dad owes tens of millions in high-interest loans, the interest keeps piling up, we can’t pay it back. If I don’t do this, our family will never have peace.”
As she spoke, Lin Yimo’s eyes filled with tears.
“Mom knows you’re a good daughter, but I will never allow mine to sacrifice herself this way. Your father brought this upon himself, it has nothing to do with you.”
“And besides, Wei Dagang is no decent man. Our family’s predicament is all his doing. It’s his scheme,” Sun Hongxia said urgently over the phone.
“What does Mr. Wei have to do with it?” Lin Yimo asked quickly.
“Your father was led to the underground casino by Wei Dagang, who is actually the owner behind the scenes. He wanted to acquire our factory because the area is soon to be redeveloped.”

“Your father refused, so Wei Dagang orchestrated his losses in the casino, forcing us to sell the factory at a low price. Now he’s set his sights on you. Don’t fall into his trap.”
After hearing Sun Hongxia’s explanation, Lin Yimo felt a wave of fear.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”
“What good would it have done? This is your father’s mistake. We’ll find a way, but you must come home. Wei Dagang is despicable and ruthless. Even if you satisfy him, he won’t let your father off.”
After hanging up, Lin Yimo hurriedly dressed.
But she didn’t storm out to confront Wei Dagang directly.
“Lin, are you ready? Come out and have a drink with me,” Wei Dagang knocked on the door.
“I’ll be out soon,” Lin Yimo replied, desperately searching for a way to escape.
She had noticed when she arrived that Wei Dagang’s bodyguards were at the entrance; if she turned hostile, she’d never get away.
At that moment, she saw a text she’d just received from Lin Yang.
The message was simple: “If you run into any trouble, I can help.”
Lin Yimo hesitated, dialed Lin Yang’s number, but hung up before it connected.
Wei Dagang had considerable power in Luocheng, a big shot in the underworld. He owned Phoenix Palace, ran underground casinos, loan shark operations, and commanded dozens of men—he was not someone to cross.
Lin Yimo didn’t want to drag Lin Yang into this, deciding to face it herself.
She opened the door and stepped out. Wei Dagang, holding a glass of red wine, asked, “You’re not changing after your shower?”
“Sorry, Mr. Wei, I just got my period. I can’t be with you tonight. Maybe another time?”
“Is that true?” Wei Dagang eyed her skeptically.
“It is. It came two days early, I only just noticed while showering.”
“I don’t believe you. Let me see,” Wei Dagang grinned wickedly.
Startled, Lin Yimo said quickly, “It’s true, I wouldn’t dare lie to you. Anyway, I’ll be yours sooner or later, so why rush tonight?”
“I was just joking. Why are you so nervous?” Wei Dagang laughed. “Lin, I really like you, and I respect you. I’d never force you. Come, sit with me for a bit, have a drink. I’ll have my driver take you home.”
Lin Yimo refused, “No need, I didn’t bring any pads, I need to get back quickly.”

“You won’t even give me this much face?”
Wei Dagang’s brows knitted, his eyes narrowing.
Lin Yimo had no choice but to sit down and take the offered glass.
“I won’t make things difficult, just have a couple of sips with me before you go,” Wei Dagang said, raising his glass.
They clinked glasses, and Lin Yimo reluctantly took a few sips of wine before rising, “Mr. Wei, I’ll leave now.”
“Go ahead,” Wei Dagang waved her off. Lin Yimo was surprised at his easy acceptance and felt relieved. But after only a few steps, she was suddenly dizzy, the world spinning around her, almost collapsing to the floor.
Wei Dagang came over to steady her.
“Just two sips and you’re drunk?”
“I’m fine, I’ll be going now.” Realizing something was wrong, Lin Yimo tried to leave, but Wei Dagang grabbed her arm.
“Leave? You’ve entered my room, where do you think you’re going? I knew you’d play tricks, so I spiked your drink.”
He no longer bothered with pretense, a wicked smile spreading across his face.
Lin Yimo’s expression changed dramatically. She tried to push him away, but her body felt limp and powerless.
“Don’t waste your energy. The drug starts with dizziness and weakness, then soon you’ll feel hot all over, as if water is pouring through you, and you’ll become so wanton you’ll beg me to take you.”
With that, Wei Dagang lifted Lin Yimo in his arms and carried her into the bedroom.
“Mr. Wei, please let me go, I really have my period, you can’t do this,” Lin Yimo pleaded, unable to resist, her voice trembling with fear.
“You think I’m a fool? I’ve been with plenty of women—what excuses haven’t I heard? Even if you are on your period, tonight I’ll break my own rule. You won’t escape.”
Wei Dagang laid her on the bed, his face twisted with a malicious grin.
“I want to see for myself if you’re really on your period.”
With those words, he began to pull at her pants.
Lin Yimo, summoning the last of her strength, writhed in resistance on the bed, but it was utterly futile. Her jeans were swiftly stripped away by Wei Dagang.
