Chapter 65 Confiscating the Tool of the Crime
Lin Yimo could only watch helplessly as Wei Dagang yanked off her pants, powerless to resist. The drug’s aphrodisiac effect was already surging through her veins; she felt feverish all over, her consciousness blurring, mind slipping into a haze of confusion and desire.
“You little brat, you refuse to take a hint and force me to use these methods. Do you really think you can escape my grasp?” Wei Dagang sneered. “Why pretend to be some saint in front of me? I’ve already got the camera ready. I’ll record everything, and you can savor the sight of yourself on the bed.”
As he spoke, Wei Dagang’s hands traced along Lin Yimo’s long, shapely legs, inching ever upward. “With video and photos as proof, you’ll have no choice but to obey me from now on. Otherwise, I’ll spread them everywhere.”
Lin Yimo shivered at his vile words. His filthy hands advanced toward her forbidden places; though she tried desperately to clamp her legs together, her body was limp and weak—there was nowhere to hide.
“You despicable scum! You won’t die a good death!” Lin Yimo could do nothing but curse him, venting her helpless rage.
Wei Dagang only laughed. “Good, keep cursing. I like it.”
Tears of humiliation and despair welled at the corners of Lin Yimo’s eyes.
Bang!
A sudden crash shattered the moment—the door was kicked open!
Surprisingly, it was not a rescuer but Wei Dagang’s own bodyguard, whom he’d left outside.
Wei Dagang’s brow furrowed at the commotion. He strode out of the bedroom, only to see the door blown open, his bodyguard A-Liang sprawled on the floor, and no one else in sight.
“What the hell are you doing, A-Liang?” Wei Dagang bellowed.
A-Liang coughed up a mouthful of blood, his face ashen. “Boss Wei, someone’s here…”
“Who? You couldn’t handle him?” Wei Dagang shouted in anger.
“He really couldn’t handle me,” came a voice from the hallway—Lin Yang had arrived.
“Who are you?” Wei Dagang demanded, fury and murderous intent flashing in his eyes at this intrusion.
Lin Yang had no patience for idle talk. With a sudden, ghost-like movement, he appeared right in front of Wei Dagang, startling him.
Gripping Wei Dagang’s neck, Lin Yang said coldly, “If you ever dare lay a hand on Lin Yimo again, I’ll kill you.”
Wei Dagang, struggling for breath, was too terrified to speak.
Lin Yang was not inclined to kill, but he would not let Wei Dagang off lightly. With a swift, ruthless kick, he crushed Wei Dagang’s manhood, ending his threat forever.
Wei Dagang’s face contorted in agony, but no scream escaped his lips. Only when Lin Yang threw him to the ground did he finally clutch his groin and howl in pain.
Lin Yang stepped into the bedroom. By now, the drug’s effects had entirely overtaken Lin Yimo. She was writhing on the bed, her skin flushed pink, her upper and lower garments already stripped off—her mind lost in delirium.
Seeing a man, Lin Yimo lunged at him, wrapping herself around Lin Yang and groping at him wildly.
Lin Yang quickly produced his silver needles, pinned Lin Yimo to the bed, and rapidly applied seven needles to draw out the toxin.
Soon, the poison was expelled from her body, soaking a large patch of the bedsheet.
Gradually, the flush faded from Lin Yimo’s skin; her eyes regained clarity, and her mind returned to normal.
“Lin Yang? Why is it you?” Realizing she was completely naked, Lin Yimo’s cheeks turned crimson with embarrassment. She hastily pulled the quilt around her.
“Don’t worry, it’s over. Get dressed and come with me,” Lin Yang said, turning his back and thoughtfully handing her some tissues—otherwise, the dampness would make dressing uncomfortable.
Lin Yimo wished she could disappear into the floor from shame.
Once she was clothed, she followed Lin Yang out of the bedroom, only to see Wei Dagang sweating and pale with pain, barely conscious.
“What happened to him?” Lin Yimo asked.
“I confiscated his weapon,” Lin Yang answered coolly.
“How did you know I was here?”
“I saw you looked off in the parking garage earlier and texted you, but you didn’t reply. Then I happened to overhear Wei Dagang’s brother talking about him doing something shady upstairs, so I came to check.”
Lin Yang had been downstairs at the karaoke bar. Zheng Nanxu, caught up in the fun, had dragged a girl off to the restroom, leaving Lin Yang to step outside to relieve himself. There, he ran into Wei Dagang’s brother hosting a friend and overheard their conversation.
“I wanted to call you for help, but I didn’t want to drag you into this. Wei Dagang is powerful in Luo City—neither of us can afford to cross him,” Lin Yimo said, her gratitude toward Lin Yang deep. If not for his timely arrival, she knew she would have been ruined by Wei Dagang.
“Let’s leave this place first,” Lin Yang said, escorting her back to her car.
“Aren’t you coming with me?” she asked.
“I have other matters to take care of. You go ahead; as for Wei Dagang, I’ll handle it,” Lin Yang replied with a smile.
“How will you handle it? Lin Yang, I know you can fight, but Wei Dagang has dozens of men and even martial arts experts. He’s more troublesome than Qi Tianyong. Last time, when Qi Tianyong tried to retaliate against you, I begged Wei Dagang for help to resolve it. Now that you’ve crippled him, I have no connections left to turn to. What are we going to do?” Lin Yimo’s anxiety grew as she spoke, her face clouded with worry.
“You asked Wei Dagang for help with Qi Tianyong?” Lin Yang asked.
“Yes! Otherwise would Qi Tianyong have let you off so easily? After all, it happened because of me. I couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. And today—I have you to thank. If you hadn’t shown up in time, my life would have been destroyed by Wei Dagang,” Lin Yimo said earnestly.
“You really think I’m safe because of Wei Dagang?” Lin Yang couldn’t help but smile.
“Isn’t that the case? Qi Tianyong isn’t someone to trifle with. If not for Wei Dagang stepping in, he wouldn’t have let you off.”
Lin Yimo still didn’t know the truth.
“So Wei Dagang used this as leverage to make you meet him at a hotel?” Lin Yang asked.
“He did propose that, but it wasn’t just because of you. My father owes tens of millions in loan shark gambling debts. Wei Dagang said if I became his lover, he’d settle the debt. I had no choice—otherwise, if my father was taken by those people, who knows what would happen to him?”
She looked resigned. “But I only recently discovered it was all Wei Dagang’s plot. He tricked my father into gambling, and the loan shark boss was him all along.”
“Let me be clear, class president: Qi Tianyong’s business had nothing to do with Wei Dagang. He would never have shown Wei Dagang any mercy,” Lin Yang said, wanting to set the record straight after hearing the full story.
He hadn’t expected that incident to nearly ruin Lin Yimo, and though it wasn’t the main cause, it had become one of the levers forcing her into this desperate situation.
Fortunately, Lin Yimo was safe. Otherwise, Lin Yang would never forgive himself.
