“Since that's the case, you may leave now.” Lin Yang pointed toward the door.

“Fine, we’ll go! If I ever step foot in here again, may my entire family perish!” Zhang Cuiying grabbed Liu Zhangwu and stormed out.

“This…” Liu Julan hesitated, clearly reluctant to let go of the three million.

“Aunt Liu, don’t worry. Trust me, within ten minutes, they’ll come crawling back and begging to pay you.” Lin Yang finished speaking, pulled out his phone, and called Murong Yun.

Liu Zhangwu was a small-time boss, easy to manipulate. All Murong Yun had to do was make a phone call, and Liu Zhangwu would be unable to survive in Luocheng, losing everything.

Sure enough, not long after Liu Zhangwu and his wife left, they rushed back in a panic.

“Sister, brother-in-law, I’ve just transferred another five hundred thousand to your account. That’s a total of three million five hundred thousand, principal and interest repaid. Please accept it.”

The couple, who moments ago had sworn on their family’s lives, now returned.

“Uncle, Aunt, didn’t you just say that if you took one more step into this house, your whole family would die? And now you come back? Does your family’s safety mean nothing to you?” Shen Youwei mocked them mercilessly.

“Weiwei, it was all our fault. Aren’t we family? Why fuss over these things? This time we’re truly repaying the debt—three million five hundred thousand, not a penny short.” Liu Zhangwu forced a smile, trying to appease them.

They had barely walked away when the phone rang—Wanhao Chamber of Commerce was going to sanction them.

Liu Zhangwu’s food factory’s largest client was under the Wanhao Chamber of Commerce, and the company announced they would no longer purchase any products from him. Liu Zhangwu had invested everything, even taken out a large loan to buy new equipment and expand production. If sanctioned, he’d be ruined, left with nothing.

At first, Zhang Cuiying didn’t understand why such a powerful organization would suddenly target their small food factory. Liu Zhangwu immediately realized and dragged Zhang Cuiying back.

“Now you have the nerve to talk about family? Do you know no shame?” Shen Youwei had been holding back her resentment, and now, seeing her uncle’s brazen shamelessness, she couldn’t stay silent.

“When you swindled us out of our money, did you think about family?”

“When my parents needed money for life-saving treatment and you refused to pay back the debt, did you think about family?”

“When our family was forced to sell our house and live in a rundown neighborhood while you lived in a mansion and drove luxury cars, did you think about family?”

“When I knelt at your doorstep, begging for help, and you chased me away, did you think about family?”

“Now that Lin Yang stands behind us, you have the nerve to mention family? I’ve never seen people so heartless, ungrateful, shameless as you!”

Shen Youwei’s anger and grievance finally found release, and she felt much better.

“Weiwei, we’re sorry. We truly repent this time!” Zhang Cuiying hurried to apologize, trying to sound sincere, but Lin Yang knew people like her were shameless in their bones and deserved no sympathy.

Shen Youwei didn’t hold back, taking the bank card from Liu Zhangwu's hand.

“I’d sooner believe a pig could climb a tree than trust a single word from you again. From now on, our families have nothing to do with each other. We’re strangers. There’s no need to ever meet again.”

Shen Youwei had made up her mind never to have any dealings with her uncle’s family again.

Liu Zhangwu didn’t care if they saw each other again. He only cared about keeping his factory afloat; otherwise, he was finished.

“Master Lin, the money’s been repaid, we’ve apologized and repented. Please, I beg you to show mercy and let us go.” Liu Zhangwu groveled before Lin Yang.

“No need to beg me. The people you’ve wronged are Uncle Shen’s family. You should seek their forgiveness.” Lin Yang replied coldly.

“Sister, brother-in-law, I truly know I was wrong. We were heartless and ungrateful before! Please forgive us, or we’ll be ruined.” Liu Zhangwu knew his sister was soft-hearted; that’s how he’d gotten the loan in the first place.

Now he played the same trick, acting pitiful and remorseful, begging for mercy. Zhang Cuiying, for the sake of their factory, swallowed her pride and echoed his pleas.

Shen Limin snorted and turned away, refusing to soften.

“I have no brother like you. These past two years, you’ve ruined us!” Liu Julan was furious and didn’t immediately forgive him.

Seeing this, Liu Zhangwu’s eyes darted about. He suddenly dropped to his knees, slapped himself twice, and began to play the victim.

“We’re siblings—no matter how wrong I am, I beg you for another chance. If you don’t forgive me, I’ll be forced to jump off a building. Please, just one word from you can save our family!”

“If our parents could see us from the afterlife, they wouldn’t want their children to end up like this.”

Liu Zhangwu sobbed and pleaded, dredging up their deceased parents. Zhang Cuiying wept beside him, and sure enough, Liu Julan began to soften.

Lin Yang watched coldly, utterly disdainful of Liu Zhangwu’s manipulative family guilt.

“Mom, don’t fall for this again! When they borrowed money, they used this same trick.”

Shen Youwei was unmoved.

“Sister, if you don’t forgive me and the factory collapses, I’ll have no choice but to end my life. I beg you, just one word from you will save us all!”

Liu Zhangwu continued his performance, crying, pleading, and threatening. As expected, Liu Julan sighed, her resolve finally melting.

“All right, get up. Since the money’s been repaid, I forgive you. From now on, let’s not have any further contact. I’ll consider you no longer my brother,” she said.

Liu Zhangwu was secretly delighted. With Liu Julan’s forgiveness, the matter was settled. As for future contact, he didn’t care at all.

“Thank you, sister, brother-in-law,” Liu Zhangwu and Zhang Cuiying wiped away false tears, secretly rejoicing.

“Mom… you’re too soft-hearted. Why forgive them? They deserve to lose everything.” Shen Youwei complained unhappily.

“Enough. Are we really going to force your uncle’s family to jump off a building? We got our money back, that’s what matters.” Liu Julan replied.

Shen Youwei still felt frustrated and pouted. “Lin Yang, my mom is always like this…”

“It’s all right. Aunt Liu is kind and soft-hearted, which is no bad thing. Don’t worry, I’m here.” Lin Yang patted Shen Youwei’s hand in comfort.

“Master Lin, my sister has forgiven us,” Liu Zhangwu grovelled before Lin Yang.

Lin Yang smirked, “Then get out. I don’t welcome heartless, ungrateful people here. Don’t come back.”

“Thank you for your magnanimity, Master Lin. Your grand residence will not be disturbed by us again.” Liu Zhangwu, relieved, pulled his wife away.

After a few steps, however, Liu Zhangwu stopped and turned back. “Master Lin, will my factory still be sanctioned?”

“Did I say the sanctions would end?” Lin Yang replied with a cold sneer.
