Lin Yang took some time to review the medical records sent by Han Liqun, carefully drafting treatment plans and prescriptions for each case.

Liu Julan and Shen Youwei had also returned. The mother and daughter had visited several real estate agencies and viewed a few properties, but had yet to decide on which one to buy. They planned to revisit some of them the next day.

Liu Julan also made a trip to the supermarket, returning with plenty of groceries to prepare meals.

After dinner, Lin Yang drove straight to the Qin family villa.

However, upon arrival, he found that Qin Monong was not at home.

Lin Yang settled onto the sofa and took from his portable Qian Kun pouch a martial arts manual that had belonged to the revered Medicine Sage master, flipping through its pages.

"The Thousand Absolute Sword Manual—when mastered to the pinnacle, the sword energy multiplies a thousandfold, delivering fatal strikes with immense power. Unfortunately, my current level isn’t sufficient to practice this."

"The Iron Horse Ice River Technique cultivates true cold energy, capable of freezing an opponent’s inner qi, even sword energy attacks. At its peak, a single finger can sever waterfalls and freeze entire rivers."

Lin Yang perused several manuals, each containing supreme martial arts of astonishing power. Yet, regrettably, his present cultivation level rendered him incapable of practicing them.

Such elite martial arts required at least the Free Spirit Realm to cultivate.

His innate True Realm qi was insufficient to sustain these domineering techniques; forcing them would only harm himself.

"This Empty Slash Palm looks promising," he finally found a top-tier internal martial art within his current reach. When practiced to an advanced stage, this palm technique could injure an opponent from a distance without requiring the Free Spirit Realm.

Rising to his feet with the Empty Slash Palm manual in one hand, Lin Yang began practicing with the other.

Being a prodigy in martial arts, Lin Yang quickly grasped the basics of this notoriously difficult internal style. Most people, even with the manual, might never master it; those with talent would take two or three years just to glimpse its essence.

Yet, within less than an hour, Lin Yang had already achieved that initial insight. Though he could not yet strike from afar, a palm strike sent a piece of fruit flying off the tea table a meter away.

He was quite pleased. With further practice, he would soon master the technique and gain the ability to harm others remotely.

At that moment, sounds came from outside—the arrival of Qin Monong driving back.

Glancing at his phone, Lin Yang saw it was nearly midnight.

Qin Monong opened the door and entered. Seeing Lin Yang, she showed no surprise. If he hadn’t come tonight, she would have felt a touch disappointed.

"What are you doing here again?" she said coldly, concealing her expectation behind a tough facade.

Lin Yang stepped forward, embracing Qin Monong from behind, catching the scent of alcohol on her, evidence of heavy drinking.

Qin Monong struggled shyly, trying to break free, but finding it futile, she resigned herself.

"So you came home late because of drinking at a social engagement," Lin Yang whispered near her ear.

A ticklish warmth spread over Qin Monong, stirring a flush within.

"Do I need to report to you every time I drink at a social event? What’s it to you?" she snapped.

"Qin Monong, do you know what I like most about you?" Lin Yang asked.

"No, and I don’t need your affection!" she retorted.

Lin Yang turned her around to face him, then gently teased her exquisitely seductive red lips with a finger.

"I like how stubborn your mouth is."

"I’m not!" Qin Monong quickly turned her head away.

Lin Yang grasped her chin, compelling her to meet his gaze.

"Let me go!" she protested.

Though she hated being controlled by Lin Yang, she secretly enjoyed his dominance—a contradiction she found difficult to reconcile.

"Who were you drinking with?"

"None of your business."

"Alright, still being stubborn, huh? Then I’ll sober you up properly and see whose stubbornness wins—yours or mine."

With that, Lin Yang kissed her deeply, one hand wrapping around her graceful waist to immobilize her.

"Mmm..." Qin Monong bit her lip fiercely at first, denying him any entry. But her resistance soon softened; her body relaxed, her jaw unclenched, allowing him to invade.

Her hands, which had pushed him away moments before, slowly lifted to embrace him.

She was quite drunk, the alcohol heightening her warmth and quickly drowning her reason.

This time, Qin Monong was more eager and assertive than ever, almost reversing roles and taking control.

Together, they moved from the entrance hall to the living room sofa.

Qin Monong sat astride Lin Yang, releasing her tied-up hair in a cascade of midnight silk. Her flushed cheeks and eyes shimmering with affection radiated profound love.

In that moment, Qin Monong was breathtakingly beautiful—her allure enough to drive any man mad, willing to forsake everything for her.

She lifted herself slightly, biting her reddened lips, brows furrowed before relaxing, initiating a tender contest with Lin Yang.

After a long while, the battle subsided.

Qin Monong, who had started with dominance, was now overpowered by Lin Yang, sprawled on the sofa, sweat-drenched, her hair soaked, every pore and strand filled with indescribable pleasure.

Clearly, her stubbornness had been subdued; Lin Yang had tamed her thoroughly.

"Tonight, I dined with the president of Luocheng Commercial Bank. I want to secure a five hundred million loan to keep the company afloat. Though I detest these social dinners and drinking, I have no choice but to endure the nausea and attend," Qin Monong began explaining, perhaps worried Lin Yang might misunderstand.

Lin Yang knew the Murong family had sanctioned Qin Monong, and the current situation of Xingyao Group was grim. Otherwise, with her temperament, she would never engage in such socializing.

"Did you get the loan?" Lin Yang asked.

"Not that easy! Business is a battlefield; these people are opportunistic. Since Xingyao lost its partnership with Ding Sheng Group, everyone is taking advantage to strike while the iron is hot, or they have ulterior motives," she said, her tone revealing exhaustion and helplessness.

Qin Monong was a strong woman; if not for letting her guard down with Lin Yang, she would never have confided such matters.

"Don’t you want to reclaim Xingyao Group? You could do it now. At this rate, the company will go bankrupt sooner or later."

Still lying down, Qin Monong was too weak to move, her voice soft and feeble.

"I’ve thought it through carefully. Business isn’t what I truly desire, nor am I good at running a company. Xingyao Group is better off in your hands than mine," Lin Yang replied.

At first, he had intended to take back Xingyao Group—it was founded by his parents after all.

But now, his ambitions lay elsewhere.

He sought higher realms and broader horizons; worldly wealth no longer held any allure for him.
